Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a way to change the search box text color (see screenshot). I would also like to know how to change the text of the user's input in the search box as well as when the search box is inactive/deselected.

Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Search > Edit > SearchEdit > TextBox > Normal Text
Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Search > Edit > SearchEdit > TextBox > Filter Text

Entered text is

Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Search > Edit > SearchEdit > TextBox > Normal Text

But if you focus elsewhere in the window entered text changes to:

Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Boxes > Edit > Basic > EditText > TEXTCOLOR ( you have to add this property)

Also when unfocused the textcolor becomes translucent for unknown reasons. Like here:

Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Boxes > Edit > Basic > EditText > Textcolor is supposed to be rgb(255,0,0) Huh?

Even when focused it can become translucent. Like here:

Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Search > Edit > SearchEdit > TextBox > Normal Text is supposed to be rgb(126,255,0)
Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Search > Edit > SearchEdit > TextBox > Filter Text is supposed to be rgb(0,0,255)

man i should to told you .. its the same principle like a solid black background in the search view programs list  extendet all programs menu also nts
NSCchost also and more result they normaly are black solid man when you make an black theme they is black only logoff and placeslist is transparent but all of this stuff exist like option (menus) i mean for an example : start menu > menus > aero/basic am ? in basic you have a fillcolors and glowcolors in aero you have only the bools like composited and compositedopaque am when you uncheck these bools the black background is going (windowcolor) and it became transparent depend of your color in basic option but search list in start menu searchbox in windows explorer does not have these commands these options like another menus and boxes you understand so you can not put composited or compositedopaque bool to uncheck because you dont have command like that for example:
Address breadcrumb search > search > edit > aero > normal > Active/Inactive - - - compositedbool checked
Address breadcrumb search > search > edit > aero > Max > Active/Inactive - - - compositedbool checked
Address breadcrumb search > search > edit > Basic > normal > Active/Inactive - - - edittext, caret, background, password, backgroundwithborder and etc....
it not exit in app style builder these commands in searchbox in all other boxes it exist like addressband it became full transparency the boxes also in buttons boxes controls yes but here in search box it exist only this :
-----Address breadcrumb search > search > edit > edit text / filter text ----- not aero edit not basic edit so this two edit commands its not for transparency man its the same thing with the run command shell > taskdialog > primary panel > fillcolor.... when all became in transparency but there that is putted some text this text its became colored with the line black solid or transparent but not the normal background of your chose the same thing also put an image in flyout window background and see the timedate see yourself all there became shit why because it have an text because it have an calendar when not normaly putted from "microsoft visual designers" look yourself in original aero theme of windows 8 look the aeropeek left border i have repaired this left border in my theme but.. you can not make samething when the commands does not exist in app or not supported man you can have so mach fantasy but when its not supported its not supported for that i want to you to tell for these commands for start menu search view and search box of explorer a Panda X its the same principle like edit in vista legacy ( search > edit ) i thing that in the next update he can put these command also in the adress beadcrumb search > search > edit also and for start menu search view because this is not a topmachlistview its not MFU this menu does not exit in the menus aero or basic in start menu
