Hello

I made changes in WSB, then save the file aero.msstyles on the desktop.
I copied the new file in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Aero and rename the old file by aero.old

When I reboot, I have a black screen, forced to turn off with the button on the PC
I done something wrong?

Thanks so much

Here's what I do:

1) Create a new folder with your theme name
2) Copy aero.msstyles and shell into the folder
3) Rename aero.msstyles in the new renamed folder to your name
4) Put the folder in Resources\Themes
5) Open this with WSB. You can test, save etc.
6) Make a copy of aero.theme
7) Rename it to the name of your theme
8) Open it by right-clicking it and choosing open with Notepad
9) Change the DisplayName=@%SystemRoot%\System32\themeui.dll,-2013 to DisplayName=the name of your theme
10) Go to [VisualStyles]
Path=%ResourceDir%\Themes\Aero\Aero.msstyles
and change all Aero to your theme and theme msstyles name
11) Save it
12) Install your theme by opening the .theme by right-clicking it and choosing open with Personalization CP

Or skip steps 6 through 12 and check the Make A theme File box when you save your theme.
You can find the file in C:\Users\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Themes and then install using that

There are likely other ways to do this but this way definitely works because I do it myself

You should never under any circumstances mess with the default Aero folder or any of the files in it.
