Shame this tool never went anywhere, found another tool on WindHawk that replaces resources https://windhawk.net/mods/icon-resource-redirect, it's a bit easier to use but also less safe as it loads with windows so if you use resources that break windows it's going to be a bit more hassle to fix, it is only applied per user account though.

Hey guys, hope you have all been doing well, sucks about 24H2 not working with WSB, on a bright note though I discovered to ways to bring back the frames, one you are probably familiar with is Windhawk and a mod called, yes you guessed it Bring back the borders https://windhawk.net/mods/w11-dwm-fix, this mod seems to work well with my testing but relies on Windhawk to be running, the other methode I just disscovered was on a website called WinClassic https://winclassic.net/thread/2853/udwm-borders-shadows-acrylic-windows and it replaces the udwm.dll and restores the borders that way, so that is a permanent fix unless an update breaks it, the first option is the easiest but the second method is more complete.

Yes, I had the same problem. MS changed something with the msstyles file and Explorer, and themes based on old msstyles files no longer work I could no longer open the Recycle Bin, for example, or This PC (via shortcuts) So I redid my theme with Msstyle Editor (since WSB doesn't support Windows 11 24h2) and no more problems. may i ask how you do it? are you using base msstyle 23h2 or 24h2? |

in latest win 11 security update i can't open the open file dialog from any software when using custom theme. but when using normal windows theme it can open dialog box normaly. for now i uninstalled latest security update and it works fine.
