1  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Task dialog text color on: July 27, 2019, 12:51:14 pm
In 1903 the text you are pointing to is:

Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > ItemsView > Details > <11>
Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > ItemsView > Details > <12>
2  Help / Windows 10 / Re: .zip File Extract Dialogue Colors on: July 25, 2019, 12:46:02 pm
In 1903 it's Lists, Menus, & Tabs > Tab > AeroWizardBody FILLCOLOR
3  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Explorer, Windows 10 1903 on: July 02, 2019, 10:13:35 pm
I totally forgot that the location of the background of Explorer Nav Pane has changed in 1903.

If you are using the default XMLs then go search classes, parts and states for ExplorerNavPane and add a FILLCOLOR and a TEXTCOLOR there

If you are using MrGrim's updated XMLs then change the fillcolor at Windows 10 Dark Mode > Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Explorer Nav Pane

NEVER MIND. I just looked at your msstyles and it doesn't have any of this.

It's NOT a 1903 msstyles. It hasn't been ported or updated correctly. I'm surprised it even tests.

I'm done trying to answer your questions.
4  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Explorer, Windows 10 1903 on: July 02, 2019, 09:06:56 pm
Which nav pane? Explorer or AIDA64 Extreme or both?
5  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Explorer, Windows 10 1903 on: July 02, 2019, 02:58:36 pm
I don't know anything about the AIDA64 Extreme app. I don't use it. Colors and font might not be connected to msstyles.

The background color for the windows nav pane is Explorer & Shell > Explorer > ProperTree > Background > FILLCOLORHINT if that's what you are talking about.
6  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Explorer, Windows 10 1903 on: June 30, 2019, 10:49:51 pm
You asked where the FONT was so I told you. Now you're asking about COLORS. Exactly what color do you need? Be specific.
7  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Explorer, Windows 10 1903 on: June 30, 2019, 02:29:50 pm
Explorer & Shell > Explorer > TreeView
8  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Task manager line color on: May 25, 2019, 01:36:04 pm
That's Device Manager not Task Manager.

Fonts, Colors, & System Metrics > Colors (Globals) > EDGESHADOWCOLOR
9  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Some colors under windows 10 RS5 1809 on: May 15, 2019, 02:04:37 pm
1) Are you using Dark Mode?

http://virtualcustoms.net/showthread.php/80749-Windows-10-1809-WSB-update-and-Dark-Mode-Style-Script?p=336319&viewfull=1#post336319

2) Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Boxes > Edit > Basic > EditBorder(NoScroll)
Lists, Menus, & Tabs > ListView > BORDERCOLOR
   Explorer & Shell > Explorer > TreeView > BORDERCOLOR
10  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Up button icon on: May 06, 2019, 09:20:10 pm
It shows in the save dialogs because these use the shell32 file in SysWOW64 which isn't covered by ONE
11  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Up button icon on: May 06, 2019, 01:20:56 pm
You can't hide it with WSB unless you shift the whole band to the left and lose the nav buttons too.

Use OldNewExplorer to do it.
12  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Registry colors on: April 11, 2019, 09:46:52 pm
Works for me.

Maybe this is your problem:

13  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Registry colors on: April 11, 2019, 01:34:50 pm
In 1809 it's Fonts & System Metrics > HIGHLIGHTTEXT
14  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Registry colors on: April 10, 2019, 10:20:20 pm
In 1809:

That background color is Explorer & Shell > Explorer > TreeView > Fillcolor
That textcolor is Fonts & System Metrics > WINDOWTEXT
15  Help / Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 / Re: Is it possible to change the maximise/minimise glyphs for inactive title bars? on: April 05, 2019, 10:04:43 pm
I'm not set up to test this. Just looking at the properties and images the inactive background should be lighter.

Last year you asked the same kind of question and answered it yourself:

16  Help / Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 / Re: Is it possible to change the maximise/minimise glyphs for inactive title bars? on: April 04, 2019, 09:41:05 pm
If you make the buttons look like glyphs there's no way to make different glyphs for maximize and restore.

No idea what Grim did. I'd have to look at the msstyle.
17  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Start Menu Shut Down Icon on: April 03, 2019, 11:12:00 pm
I don't use SIB but in 7 you would go to:

Start Menu > Panels > Basic > Places List > Controls > Logoff Split Button Right

and make the glyph image transparent

Don't know if it's the same in SIB.
18  Help / Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 / Re: Is it possible to change the maximise/minimise glyphs for inactive title bars? on: April 03, 2019, 10:55:07 pm
You can only have different inactive button images for inactive windows.

You could always just change your active and inactive button images to look like different colored glyphs and make the actual glyph images transparent.
19  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Progress Bar on: April 01, 2019, 04:25:35 am
If you are using MrGrim's latest classmap then:

Windows 10 (New Classes) > Task Manager > Performance Charts > Copy > Transfer Speed Top Fill
Windows 10 (New Classes) > Task Manager > Performance Charts > Copy > Transfer Speed Fill
Windows 10 (New Classes) > Task Manager > Performance Charts > Copy > Transfer Speed Border
Windows 10 (New Classes) > Task Manager > Performance Charts > Copy > Transfer Speed Progress Border
20  Windows Style Builder / Bug Reports / Re: Error Testing MsStyles File. There was an error applying the Test MsStyles File on: March 19, 2019, 04:12:29 pm
If you get it to test then also download this:

http://virtualcustoms.net/showthread.php/80749-Windows-10-1809-WSB-update-and-Dark-Mode-Style-Script

Replace the data file at AveApps\Windows Style Builder\Data with the new one which has updated xmls

You should also replace your shell folder with the new one if you are using OldNewExplorer
21  Windows Style Builder / Bug Reports / Re: Error Testing MsStyles File. There was an error applying the Test MsStyles File on: March 19, 2019, 03:38:04 pm
Are your theme files patched? If not then install UltraUXThemePatcher

Are you using the WSB Beta? You have to on Windows 10. Find it here:  https://www.vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=2130.0

Then try to test the attached 1809 Aero. I use it all the time for testing.

Some userChrome.css stuff I'm using on Firefox 65.0.1. Change colors to what you want:

    min-height: initial !important;
}
tab {
    line-height: 24px; height: 24px;
}
.tabs-newtab-button {

Fonts & System Metrics > BTNFACE
25  Help / Windows 10 / Re: I bought a Windows Style builder but got a vista style builder? on: January 06, 2019, 12:04:11 am
WSB doesn't preview inherited images.

The image is at Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBand > Basic > TaskBand > Progress as you can see from the status bar.
26  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Changing StartIsBack user picture frame? on: December 26, 2018, 03:55:51 pm
In 7 they were in explorer.exe
27  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Changing StartIsBack user picture frame? on: December 22, 2018, 04:20:39 pm
I don't use SIB so I'm not sure where the picture frame image is located there.

I do know that it was never in the msstyles before and so couldn't be edited in WSB.
28  Help / Windows 10 / Re: I bought a Windows Style builder but got a vista style builder? on: December 16, 2018, 02:05:56 pm
Sorry. I meant OldNewExplorer
29  Help / Windows 10 / Re: I bought a Windows Style builder but got a vista style builder? on: December 16, 2018, 05:28:18 am
Just the Data folder.

You might need the shellstyle if you're using StartIsBack.

I don't use VMs so I really don't know what to recommend
30  Help / Windows 10 / Re: I bought a Windows Style builder but got a vista style builder? on: December 15, 2018, 11:16:57 pm
You need this in 1809:

Try the attached msstyles. Works for me in both light and dark mode.
34  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Replacing titlebar buttons (min/max/res/close) on: November 18, 2018, 12:05:36 am
1) You are using an early VSB if you aren't using the more recent WSB Beta. My comment about location changes means that many locations are different in the beta than they are in the earlier VSB because of changes in the classmap and classgroup xmls so a location I give you might not match the location you have.

2) You are right about the button width.

3) You are also right about atlasrect:rect. I misremembered what I read here years ago:

https://www.vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=1216.msg6437#msg6437
35  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Window titlebar/caption background color on: November 17, 2018, 02:06:58 pm
Like I said: edit or replace the frame images
36  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Replacing titlebar buttons (min/max/res/close) on: November 17, 2018, 02:06:14 pm
Like I said: edit or replace the images. Atlasrect does nothing.

I can only give you locations in the latest WSB which I told you to use. I don't remember the obsolete earlier ones.
37  Help / Windows 7 / Re: How to modify window frame/borders SQUARE on: November 16, 2018, 01:29:44 pm
The main Window frames are located at Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Window > Bottom, Left, Right and Top

Other frames are in the same area.

Main idea is to edit the images
38  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Replacing titlebar buttons (min/max/res/close) on: November 16, 2018, 01:29:05 pm
Caption button is located at Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Controls > Captions > Window > Close Button > Normal Button > Active & Inactive

The other buttons are in the same area.

Main idea is to edit the images.
39  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Documentation? on: November 16, 2018, 04:47:56 am
You should use the latest WSB (You have to if you are theming 8 or 10). It's better than the default version:

https://www.vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=2130.0

Here are some maps of different locations which are useful:

Here's a tutorial about some basic procedures I made years ago:
