I don't have Home Group but did you try bp_pane gradient in shellstyle.dll?

Might be it Smiley

Create Homegroup: Shell32 > UIFILE > 53

Join Homegroup: Shell32 > UIFILE > 54

Homegroup Password: Shell32 > UIFILE > 56

Homegroup: Shell32 > UIFILE > 57

Homegroup Wizard: Shell32 > UIFILE > 58

Homegroup: Shell32 > UIFILE > 62

If I use Res Spy I can get it to work only if I log off and log on and then start
Res Spy and then open up explorer and then hit the homegroup but if open Explorer
first then start Reg Spy it doesn't work, so I changed the gradient in shellstyle change the files
restarted and it does not work.
Any ideas?

Just to check, you're editing the shellstyle that sits in your theme folder ?  this is the one you should be editing.

To test your  Themes shellstyle  using Res Spy I use a stop / restart explorer batch file...

Open notepad type this in -

@ TASKKILL /F /IM explorer.exe
start explorer.exe

save it as your name and add   .bat   at the end of your name, keep it on your desktop while testing.

Now after you start Res Spy just run the bat file and it should show your edits.

Shellstyle.dll is reloaded per theme.

The  bp_Pane   gradient  in your themes shellstyle also colors the Search Connector Background... Tongue
