The VSB makes new numbers for the images.
I want the path and the new number to identify

Not to sure what you mean but you can run VSB with the -noupdateimageids parameter to not update the image numbers.

When i save the msstyle and reopen then have the images another numbers.
The -noupdateimageids parameter will not works by me  :|

VSB renumbers the images for technical reasons, this is something that is required for VSB to work correctly. There cannot really be given any indication on which image gets what image number, since it depends on the order of classes and properties in your Visual Style.

There is a parameter (-noupdateimageids) that you can add to the VSB commandline: c:\program files\aveapps\vistastylebuilder\vistastylebuilder.exe -noupdateimageids
However, this is not compatible with StyleHacks, ImportXP themes or adding new images.

So technically we can have two instances of VSB open (one with the parameter) and make the changes on the VSB without the parameters?  Basically chain referencing... Image Guide -> VSB with noupdateimageids -> VSB without the parameter?

I hope I'm understanding this right.  It would be really helpful for me.

I hope I'm understanding this right.  It would be really helpful for me.
It'd be faster to run the DiffTool and click no to the dialog asking to not show changed image numbers.
