Can anyone tell me why when I edit a transparent .pgn file like the user pane of the start menu in photoshop and save it it loses it's transparency?

normaly it shoudn't lose it's transparency..

a screenshot would help.

if you made a 100% transparent picture, it becomes white or black on some parts of VSB.. maybe you should leave 1% opacity

Maybe it's a bug in the auto-alpha converter part of VSB. Try to do modify the image with Paint.Net (free). Photoshop doesn't allow saving alpha channeled .png's. With Paint.Net you can save .png's in 32bit color (ie: alpha channeled) which had to be done before VSB came out so that Windows could register transparency in the images correctly. Some people used Alpha Image Converter to do the same.
