Author Topic: Can this wierd blur/fog be removed from the taskbar area?  (Read 7972 times)

I'm trying to make a taskbar that has transparent areas above and below it, but i get this blur/fog.  Any ideas?

The blur can't be removed because it's hardcoded into explorer. You have to have an image that covers the whole taskband unfortunately.

Thnx for the reply PandaX.  Another question then... Would it be possible to have taskitembutton's that are bigger than the taskbar and not have that blur?

Something interesting... I've been using 1.5 with the 1.6 XML and Base.  I opened up another theme from deviantart and guess what... no blur.  At this point I don't think it's explorer...  it's Base.  I just don't know where at. It's also in stock Aero.  I'm going to run a diff on this one that doesn't have it and try to narrow down what it is.

All base does it reroute static properties in the shellstyle.dll to the msstyles, it wouldn't have anything to do with DWM. Which theme did you download out of curiosity?
