I applied a stylehack for Transparent All Programs Window in start menu (in zip) saved it now I am
trying to go back, I got the solid color for the background back OK, but the mouse hoover(hot)
will not change I get a gray outline for hoover(screenshot) need help getting the hoover to change.

Here is what I did
Checked Compositedopaque:Bool at
Start Menu > Menus > Aero > KeyBoard:TreeView
Start Menu > Menus > Aero > Hover:TreeView

The images are solid color(black) at
Start Menu > Menus > Basic > Hover:TreeView > TreeItem > Hot
Start Menu > Menus > Basic > KeyBoard:TreeView > TreeItem > HotSelected

Thanks Jerry

Are you absolutely sure Start Menu > Menus > Basic > Hover:TreeView > TreeItem > Hot is solid black?

That's where the hover color is and the only way I can give it a border is have one in the image.

I applied the hack. Tried to go back and found your problem.

Change the Explorer & Shell > Explorer > TreeView > BorderColor:Color.

I used the difference tool. Here's a fix:

1) At Start Menu > Menus > Aero > KeyBoard:TreeView Check CompositedOpaque:Bool and delete the Fillcolor property

2) Do the same at Start Menu > Menus > Aero > Hover:TreeView

and you'll be back to normal.

The Start Menu > Menus > Basic > Hover:TreeView > TreeItem > Hot will work for the hover color again. So will everything else Smiley

EDIT: I forgot you also have to remove the textcolor properties at Start Menu > Menus > Aero > KeyBoard:TreeView > TreeItem and Start Menu > Menus > Aero > Hover:TreeView > TreeItem also.

Sorry it took so long and I was in such a bad mood. I kept getting interrupted by other stuff going on. I should have just waited until things calmed down and did it right the first time.

You don't have to say your sorry, I am very happy you took the time to figure it out.
Thanks again Jerry
