I made a full mock up in Photoshop of the window frame I am trying to make.  It seems as though the left/right images are lighter than the top image.  Is this just me or am I missing a setting somewhere?

I've set my Padding under metrics to 0, but I still seem to have a colored border.  Is there a solution?

My image is 8px wide and has a grey pixel at the 6th pixel, and a white one at the 8th pixel.  This is for the left frame.

Getting back into WSB again.  Came across a problem I couldn't fix. If you notice below, there is a grey border around the window preview.  Can't figure out how to get rid of it.



Here's a shot after I extended the background shadow image a bit.  So I know the border isn't coming from it.



Any ideas where this is located?

I was changing bitmaps 634 and 635.  As it stands.. I don't even have a control panel anymore.  Time to format anyways.

Is there a best way or even a safe way to replace it?  I've hosed my system 2 times today trying to replace that one file.

Ok.  Here is a ss of modded UI and the one font change to the msstyle in WSB.



If you noticed I even set the font to "iconfont".  I'm having the same results as when I first posted... So now what?

For the sake of argument here.. I'm going to sfc the explorerframe.dll.. i will then have a nice fresh clean one.. i'll take a ss of the window in question with a stock Base.msstyle.  Then I'll change the iconfont in the msstyle.. get another ss... then I will add the one line to the uifile and take another ss.  Be back in a few.

Even with fontsize taken out of the uifile, it doesn't help.  The fonts under the Content View  is still larger than all the other font and so is the one line of text at the bottom panel.  

Edit: I fixed the bottom line of text in the lower panel.  It was resid="details".

I figured that but I was trying earlier suggestions.  The fonts are perfect in all the other views.. Only the Content view has the larger font.  And the panel below has the larger font no matter what view.

Lists, Menus & Tabs > ListView > GroupHeader has 4 font settings in it.  FONT:FONT, HEADING1FONT:FONT,HEADING2FONT:FONT, and BODYFONT:FONT.
All are set to PF Tempesta Seven, 6, Quality:NonAntialiased.

ICONTITLE FONT:FONT, MENUFONT:FONT, and HEADING1FONT:FONT are all set the same.. and the only thing i changed in the uifile was:

It changed most of the fonts that i wanted to change on that screen.  These few are all that is left.  Thanks for any help.

n/m.. figured out what was going on.. messing with margins and the image itself fixed things.

No matter what I use for content or caption margins, the text is always too low.  I need to get it in center of the grey area. Ideas?

BrandImage doesn't work.  It just adds a small icon to the lower right of the preview.  Any other ideas?

I'm working on a Basic only VS.  How can I change the thumbnail from the win7 basic one to one that looks like my VS?

Something interesting... I've been using 1.5 with the 1.6 XML and Base.  I opened up another theme from deviantart and guess what... no blur.  At this point I don't think it's explorer...  it's Base.  I just don't know where at. It's also in stock Aero.  I'm going to run a diff on this one that doesn't have it and try to narrow down what it is.

Thnx for the reply PandaX.  Another question then... Would it be possible to have taskitembutton's that are bigger than the taskbar and not have that blur?

I'm trying to make a taskbar that has transparent areas above and below it, but i get this blur/fog.  Any ideas?
