Did you remember the step about replacing your shell folder with a copy of the one the in 8.1 aero folder?

Will it test? Or will it neither test or apply?
Which shell folder do you mean, 3am ?

45  Help / Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 / Re: Windows 8.1 / visual style Windows 7 on: September 05, 2013, 03:40:17 pm
It works: http://i.cubeupload.com/ziCwEA.png

Start menu is a tad off but this is a 3rd party program so I don't know if the issue is because of that or something else.

When importing did you follow these steps? http://vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=1895.0

Also you have to manually copy over the Shell folder from C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Aero to the location where you saved it.
Thanks a million, Panda X, i'm very happy, i thought it's impossible to make it works from W7 to W 8 / W 8.1
I will give it another try, step by step as you described. When i'm done, i'll report here, later.
Thanks again

There is a grey color, as you can see in the image. That's why i asked if you're sure about the location Smiley

3am, please let me ask you something.
How did you find out today, from the image, this codes you attached here for me ? ( UIFILE 40960 )
For example, i want to test another image as my explorer background. On the image is no code. How would i know when i have to replace the UIFILE 40960 ?
This attached image, for example.
I understood the way to work with Restorator, but how do i know the "new codes" which i have to replace for the old ones in Restorator ?

64  Help / Windows 7 / Re: windows explorer background color on: March 08, 2013, 06:57:44 pm
I don't understand how is that possible on your software vista style builder.
In your first picture, you can use the buttons edit / export /import, on the location  Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > Items View
And i can't acces edit / export / import
How did you insert the picture in this location ?
65  Help / Windows 7 / Re: windows explorer background color on: March 08, 2013, 05:44:24 pm
I did it, but now after reboot i cannot open My Computer
Thanks God, i have a backup Smiley I think i didn't proceed corect with the UIFILE 40960 i edited.
I right click - opened the picture with those grey white mix, i opened this image with Notepad, i copied everything and i replaced it with the old UIFILE 40960
66  Help / Windows 7 / Re: windows explorer background color on: March 08, 2013, 05:19:13 pm
I don't understand here, 3am
" 2-Open the Explorerframe.dll on your desktop  with Restorator,
navigate the tree to  "UIFILE 40960"  replace it with the 40960 UIFILE  you have downloaded.Hit save in Restorator.
So, i opened Explorerframe.dll / UIFILE 40960
But i don't know how to replace it. Which one is another 40960 UIFILE ? I didn't download any 40960 UIFILE.
67  Help / Windows 7 / Re: windows explorer background color on: March 08, 2013, 04:57:00 pm
Ok, i will check it now. But one last question, 3am.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
On the instructions i should go to C / Windows / System32.  Do i have to do the same with the Explorerframe.dll file from SysWOW64 ?
Which Explorerframe.dll i have to modify it ? X86 / x64 or both ?
Thank you
68  Help / Windows 7 / Re: windows explorer background color on: March 08, 2013, 04:39:30 pm

71  Help / Windows 7 / windows explorer background color on: March 08, 2013, 09:44:31 am
Hello
Please tell me what's the name of this combination of colors, for the explorer background.
I saw a video on Youtube ( OS X theme for Linux ) and the background color looks fantastic  Smiley

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLEqO6MMGiQ
Is there a name in english for this mixed colors grey and white ? I don't know how to start, when i modify with Gimp.
Do i need some extra tools for modifying the white default color of windows explorer ?
Thank you

Is not working properly, but thanks anyway
80  Tips and Visual Styles / Tips and Tricks / Re: small grey shadow / right click on: August 19, 2012, 01:06:45 pm
I dont want to get rid of this shadow.
I thought i can change the color. Long time ago i used Yz shadow
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/Yz-Shadow.shtml
but for some reason is not working properly under Windows 7 Ultimate x64.
So, i like shadows around the windows.
