The printscreen with AIDA was just an example

Have a look, please. Some letters at the end, are not visible

3  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Explorer, Windows 10 1903 on: July 02, 2019, 06:43:53 pm
I did step by step as you described, it works, i do the TEST with WSB, but after i reboot the PC, its white, again
4  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Explorer, Windows 10 1903 on: July 02, 2019, 02:06:34 pm
Yes, excuse me
I was a bit confused
I don't understand what am I doing wrong. I replaced the color on the Explorer, navigation pane - left side
Now its grey, but after I reboot the PC, its white, again. Tried that many times

https://postimg.cc/QHxpVg6T

And one more think : all the fonts, in there, at the end, the latest letter doesent look right
Here is an example

https://postimg.cc/ZvnP1BK9

I can make a smaller font number, but it would look very small

Thank you
I'm a bit confused, because you have a lot of experience with this stuff, but the location you adviced, is wrong ( hard to believe )
https://postimg.cc/9zCfSvcd
That's the only location where I can replace this color
6  Help / Windows 10 / Explorer, Windows 10 1903 on: June 30, 2019, 11:29:34 am
Could anyone help me, please ?
I can't find the location for the left ( navigation ) pane - fonts.
I always used some pdf instructions, for Windows 7, but a lot has changed, since Windows 10 ( I guess )

7  Other / Other / Re: Can't use WSB anymore ( CPU load 70-80 % ) on: June 28, 2017, 10:26:20 pm
I did as you say, 3am, but the same thing happent.
Is this maybe because of some incompatibility Win 10 - latest updates - WSB ?
I am using many programs, games, etc, and my CPU never reached 80 %
That's pretty weird. The WSB does not open, at all. It's only under Task Manager.
I will keep looking, thank you very much

LE : i have a second pc at home, I5, 8 GB DDR3, GTX 980 Ti, mainboard Gigabyte ( i don't know exactly which model ) and WSB it's running great
I didn't update the Windows on the second PC, since i installed Windows 10 ( about 8-9 months ago )

Do you have any ideas how to fix this ?
I'm using Windows 10 Pro x64, build 10.0.14393 with latest updates
My PC specs are : I7 4790K / 16GBDDR3 /GA Z97X-UD5H /GTX 1080 / SSD 256 GB Samsung Pro

9  Help / Windows 10 / caption buttons / taskbar on: February 05, 2017, 12:51:32 pm
I'm using Windows 10 ( 13939 ) and i have some issues with the caption buttons and the taskbar, with the attached visual style
The caption buttons have a bigger gap between them, than on Windows 7 ( and they are a bit smaller )
The taskbar isn't grey, i can't read the letters on the minimized applications on the taskbar
Would you please tell me how to fix those ?
I already did as Mr. Grim explained here
https://www.vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=2240.msg13621#msg13621
The Start Menu doesen't bother me at all, but if i could find a way to change the background color, would be great
Thank you in advance, any advices are welcome

17  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Windows 7 style for Windows 10 on: August 09, 2015, 03:17:11 pm
Thank you.
But how did you fix that ? I tried for more than 2 hours.
I ask you because i want to import / change / some other parts from the Windows 7 visual style, to the Windows 10 one ( i guess, taskbar it's impossible, because under Windows 7 i made it very very tinny ) Smiley
Or maybe is my WSB version ( 1.5.0.0 ) not compatible with Windows 10 ?
18  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Windows 7 style for Windows 10 on: August 09, 2015, 11:10:33 am
I'm using a new OS X theme for Windows 10, but i can't import some parts from the OSX visual style i have on Windows 7
But it's says " error testing MsStyles file - There was an error applying the Test MsStyles file, this usually signals an error in the MsStyles file "
Could you please help me ?
Here are the 2 themes
OSX visual style for Win 10                                  http://www.filedropper.com/elcapitan
OSX visual style for Win 7                                    http://www.filedropper.com/snowleopard
I tried only the caption buttons ( close )

21  Tips and Visual Styles / Tips and Tricks / Re: close / restore / minimize button / Monitor upgrade on: January 21, 2015, 10:59:32 pm
Maybe the visual style - green button, was not square before, too, but i didn't notice.
I will try to modify that with Gimp.
There are two minimize buttons locations. Active and inactive, and in both of them there are 4 menus as well : normal, hot, pressed, disabled
Do i have to modify all of them ?

Thank you so much, 3am
I'd really like to know what images did you export / import / replaced
As i said, those buttons i find very very hard to modify. Now i will search on Youtube some videos about how to modify this part of visual style
The green button is not square / quadrat / like the red and the orange one.

I would replace the glyphs images, but i'm not sure what glyphs images to export and to import
Those buttons are the most difficult part of a visual style, i guess Angry

25  Tips and Visual Styles / Tips and Tricks / Re: close / restore / minimize button / Monitor upgrade on: January 21, 2015, 12:04:28 am
Actually, i just made a test when i took the printscreen.
I mean, i went to : Control Panel / Personalization / Windows Color / Advanced Appearance settings / Captain buttons / and there i made the buttons a number bigger.
And then i made the printscreen.
As you can see in the first post on this thread, the buttons look ugly
I would try to modify them with Vista Style Builder, but i'm not good at Photoshop / Gimp / so it will take hours to modify those buttons, and i'm not sure if they will look better after i modify them.
3am, you said " Try replacing all of your 120dpi and 144dpi glyph images with your 96dpi glyph images "
You think they will look better / bigger, if i try this ?
How do i replace them ?
Thanks

Will they look the same like in the image attached in the first post ?
Thank you
27  Tips and Visual Styles / Tips and Tricks / close / restore / minimize button / Monitor upgrade on: January 17, 2015, 08:47:19 pm
Hello
I upgraded my monitor, from 27" 1920x1080 to 32" 2560x1440
The visual style i use it looks great, except the close / restore / minimize buttons. They are too small now.
So i tried to modify them from the Windows settings, but they look worse ( see attached image, please )
http://postimg.org/image/8xab6bx8l/
My question is : if i try to modify ( make them bigger ) with the software Windows Style Builder, do i have a chance to make those buttons to look better ?!
Thank you

I saved the link, thanks
Offtopic : i was able to modify the close / restore / minimize buttons, but they looks somehow rounded, on the corners.
It's very difficult to modify them, to look 100 % square
Would you give me some tips how to do that, please ? Is it possible, at all ?

I found a OS X visual style on DeviantArt, it's a nice theme, i tried it. When i open some application ( Mozilla ) it looks like this, on the taskbar :

I'm using an older visual style, i did modify it in the last months, and i don't know why, but it does not appear on right click - desktop / personalize, but the theme is working
Here is the style :  http://www.fileswap.com/dl/0wmlgA4h3Q/SL_test.rar.html
And here is the image with right click - desktop / personalize
I wanted to use this theme on my second laptop, same Windows 7 x64, i already installed Universal Theme Patcher, but as i said, i can't see it on right click - desktop / personalize, same happent on the desktop pc

After a long time, i did it, and the buttons minimize / restore / close / are squared  Cheesy
But i wish those lines - / + / x / ( when you ONLY move the mouse over the buttons ) should be more darker / black.
What's the best color for that ? Grey ? Black ?
And, on Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Controls > Captions > Window >   where exactly ? There are more expanded options.
Thank you
