161  Help / Windows 7 / Re: WMP12 on: April 10, 2011, 10:00:34 pm
No idea where the text or searchbox  are  located,...never realy skinned  wmploc fully  but I'll have a look around.
162  Help / Windows 7 / Re: WMP12 on: April 10, 2011, 09:06:37 pm
The play favorites white area is-
wmploc.dll > folder257 > BASKET_BG_BOTTOM.PNG  (Increase the image height, go large )

Edit:don't think this gets the area at the top between the left and right arrows.

http://vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=1179.0      Number 4.
You just have to try things out, trial and error, its the only way to learn.Make the  images different colors (red, blue, green, orange, etc..)  when you are testing, this way you'll know which one is mouse over ,pressed etc...then try the  images you want to change  with transparency.

175  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Locations Help on: June 09, 2010, 07:16:26 pm
Help -the popup window when you press the help button in command module for instance (back ground- top and bottom -not the middle ,searchbox etc can be found here)
Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Header > Back ground-  for the top and bottom of the window
Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Searchbox > <1>  for the search box
Alt tab- is when you press alt and  tab on your keyboard and the window pops up

not too sure about the others Smiley

182  Tips and Visual Styles / Tips and Tricks / Re: Transparency on both left and right sides of the Start Menu? on: April 21, 2010, 12:25:33 pm
........Also...is there any way to add blur to Programs List, Open Box etc.
Finally, why is my Search Box black?

Panda,  if you know how to sort this out it would be a great help, you said earlier that you,d found the blur on the left. How do you mend it?
I,d given up on transparency when I got windows 7 a couple of weeks ago but it would be cool if you can sort the start menu out as I quite like it.And the black box has bugged me since Vista, any idea,s on that one?

185  Help / Windows 7 / Volume background fill on: April 20, 2010, 05:28:49 pm
Can any body tell me how to fill the white area shown;
  cheers.

 Edit :
      Styles > Button Style > GroupBox > BorderColorHint:Color (3AM,s easy way)
  or
Buttons, Boxes &Controls- Buttons-Button-Groupbox and add this property
-Color:bordercolor hint  and whatever color you are after.
I don,t know where else this will effect but I know I wouldn,t have figured it out, I,d better go thank some body.
Praise the difference tool(Top of a huge list as well,my lucky day)

Thats what i was trying to say. Its different in vista as well ,even though it retains the blur it seems to have a white  sheen to it

190  Tips and Visual Styles / Tips and Tricks / Re: Transparency on both left and right sides of the Start Menu? on: April 09, 2010, 11:21:59 pm
Works fine for me as well, still strange transparency but left side of menu on 7 is any way.
This is better in Vista but still a little strange

Another 7 start menu+just added a pic of an  old Vista menu(2)
191  Tips and Visual Styles / Tips and Tricks / Re: Transparency on both left and right sides of the Start Menu? on: April 09, 2010, 07:29:46 pm
This worked for me in Vista (not quite right though).Same thing in 7 tested on my theme

Start menu- menu-aero--hovertreeview and deselect compositedopaque:bool
Start menu- menu-aero--Keyboard:treeview and deselect compositedopaque:bool
You might have to change explorer and shell-explorer-propertree--2 fillcolor to a dark background color
(make sure no composited bool entries are checked either)
Edit
Just tried this on the dark agility theme (first two changes and it worked)

196  Tips and Visual Styles / StyleHacks / Re: Write a Stylehack on: November 03, 2008, 05:47:04 pm
Well, posting how you did it would help others instead of leaving your post hanging like that.

Sorry ,
I,m new to this and thought I was the only one who didn,t know.
In vsb when you want to save some thing (eg start-start button bottom),
1-  right click that item ,in the menu select  export all properties in the state
(option 3)
2-right click again, export all properties  to a style hack option  should,ve
appeared ,click it  and it should add the style to the stylehacks window.

The actual stylehack file can be found in  appdata/roaming/Vista Style Builder

If this is wrong can someone let me know so I can remove these
  instructions.
