1  Help / Windows 10 / Working on the stock aero.msstyles file used in win 10 ? on: December 08, 2015, 07:17:48 pm
Was just wondering if you could copy the aero.msstyles file and do a small amount of changing to the theme and then
replace the file with the system turned off. If windows 10 would work with this file as a regular system file or stop working?
What do you folks that know about this think? Thanks, undine
2  Help / Windows 10 / Explorer Background colors for Win 10 on: November 25, 2015, 09:52:31 pm
From a theme that was used in Win 10, I show these settings in WSB....

EXPLORER
Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > ItemsView > Fillcolor > 204,210,206
Explorer & Shell > Explorer > ProperTree > Background > Fillcolor > 210,220,210

My question is, are these settings changing registry keys and if so which keys?

Thanks for any help. undine

I just finished a new win 8 theme and was wondering if it might work on my win 7 computer. The theme is very basic (not too many changes). The win 7 computer is using another theme I made some time ago. I saw the topic on going the other way. Keep up the good work.

,but the file explorer BG will not change from bright white. It shows grey in the block in WSB, but when I save it and copy the new files in
themes folder it makes no change. I've tried re-booting, but no change. Thanks for your help.
