82  Other / Other / Re: Homegroup on: August 02, 2011, 08:35:12 pm
If I use Res Spy I can get it to work only if I log off and log on and then start
Res Spy and then open up explorer and then hit the homegroup but if open Explorer
first then start Reg Spy it doesn't work, so I changed the gradient in shellstyle change the files
restarted and it does not work.
Any ideas?

87  Other / Other / Re: WEI background on: July 26, 2011, 02:17:16 pm
These   rp  settings work fine for me but you'll have to make small adjustments  to them  depending on the size of font you are using at that location .

Note2 :Try this out using Res Spy first.  Make a backup of your original file.

That worked perfect Dave I am using a size 11 font and I had to tweak a little
and ended up using this -17rp,-15rp,-20rp,-5rp

Thanks for the suggestion of using Res Spy that made it a lot easier getting it just right.
Thank you 3am and Dave for all your help

92  Other / Other / WEI background on: July 25, 2011, 01:28:14 pm
I checked images and uifile files in-
perfcentercpl.dll
shell32.dll
duser.dll
I looked for these rgb subscore 255,255,255 - base score 228,231,242
am I even close?  Tongue   I did find the little blue square in the middle.
If someone would point me in the right direction it would be very much appreciated.
Thank you

94  Other / Other / Re: Update background on: July 24, 2011, 03:44:55 am
Top gradient is Control Panel Styles > Content Pane > FILLCOLORHINT:COLOR
Bottom gradient is  Blue_Gradient_Vertical and Light_Blue_Gradient_Vertical in wucltux.dll UIFILES

OK I found them in 10 of them files do I just change the rgb #s in all 10?
Thanks Jerry

98  Other / Other / Re: Navigation button location on: July 14, 2011, 07:58:52 pm
C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ExplorerFrame.dll

Restorator is a 32-bit program so it loads dlls from SysWOW64.
Thank you Panda X I used Windows 7 Navigation Buttons Customizer to change the buttons so I did as you said
and that button customizer only changes the system 32 Explorerframe.dll .
Now I have the same buttons everywhere.
Thanks again Jerry

101  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Changing Background Color of the Navigation Pane? on: July 14, 2011, 12:53:27 am
Main text color is Fonts, Colors, & System Metrics > Fonts & System Metrics > WINDOWTEXT:COLOR

( You can change this by going into the shellstyle UIfile and changing the foreground of ProperTreeHost to any color you like. For example foreground="argb(255, 0, 255, 0)" would make it green.)

The other text colors for various states are at Explorer & Shell > Explorer > TreeView > TreeItem > Hot, Selected, SelectedNotFocus, HotSelected and Disabled.
3am is this where to change the text color? I thought I would try
Thanks Jerry
102  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Changing Background Color of the Navigation Pane? on: July 13, 2011, 07:38:01 pm

105  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Problem with transparency on: May 10, 2011, 06:31:25 pm
It looks like you removed all the color from the corners you need a little color there or it turns out that way.
Look at this screenshot you'll see that it has color in the corners that is the original Aero frame top active.

111  Help / Windows 7 / Re: I am sure that this has been asked. But where do I change these fonts? on: March 11, 2011, 12:38:46 pm
Alternatively

1) Add a font at Start Menu > Menus > Aero > StartMenuCompositedMFU::ListView
2) Add a font at Start Menu > Menus > Aero > PlaceList:ListView

That's with 1.6 XMLs, but I think it's the same with the 1.4 XMLs
Thanks great info.

112  Tips and Visual Styles / Tips and Tricks / Re: Some modifications on: February 24, 2011, 07:04:16 pm
UXStyle is the easiest. It's always up to date because it doesn't use hard patches but rather in-memory. Which means anytime the files are updated it'll still work and you won't have to wait for another patch to release.

+1 never had any trouble with it
