Hey everyone!

I just made my first Firefox extension, which allows you to change
the throbber (images that move while webpage is loading-in tabs and toolbar)

If you have customization o.c.d. or not check it out:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/15018

tell me what you think Smiley

No worries,

To use the deivantArt link simply apply the theme,
and you will see a rainbow (trust me) of colours,
then you open this mssytle (the deviant are one) and flick through it
until you find which/what color you want.

For example; if i wanted to change the colour the taskbar,
apply the msstyle (deviantArt-UK.Intel) and you will see that the taskbar will glow bright pink(im just making up the color but you understand what i mean)
then open the msstyle in VSB and find that bright pink bar, and hey thats your task bar!

i hope you understand that gibberish.

hey there!

i know its a bit daunting to tackle this on you own,
so some suggestion (instead of telling you where everything is)

1.have a look around some of the things your looking for you will find in a matter of minutes,
2. if not i suggest you this (http://ukintel.deviantart.com/art/Vista-msstyle-Resource-Finder-61020262) to help you out a little
3. with regards to changing the image, i always export->edit->import, but thats mainly because im used to it that way.

Good Luck. Smiley

you can install this theme:

http://ukintel.deviantart.com/art/Vista-msstyle-Resource-Finder-61020262

and it will help you locate all the relevant images in you .msstyles file by either cross referencing
the images from a resource editor to VSB, or simply change them in any resource editor

with regards to the fonts in Sysmetrics, this does give me results (I have tried it before) but the text still remain BOLD. argh lol
i dont know why I care so much, but I want to find out if/how to change it lol

Thanks for the quick replies.

thanks again, 3am! Smiley, apologies about the terminology.

ok, so I have taken your advice on board, to change my font you suggest adding a font option to whatever I would like for example: (examples are very important here, since I have no idealol)

Start->StartMenu->Menus->Panels->Aero->Top->MorePrograms-> here is where i add the font option? I have tried this-> font:font= verdana,8,cleartype
and the bold text still holds Sad
I think it might be controlled else where but am unsure, ive done a thourough search on "the google" to change the bold text to normal but nothing productive came of it.

Thanks for the encouragement. Smiley

Thanks for the reply,

no the style hack worked fine, but you see it only makes the "programslist" (i believe that is what it is called) transparent, which is awesome,
but I would also like the "more programs" window to be transparent also (refer to image provided in previous post)

So to answer your question yes it did make the start menu transparent but not the "more programs" section

Hey guys!
Im relatively new to this skinning business but am willing to have a go and with the right help im sure everything will work out fine! Smiley

Anyways I have two questions:
(1) How to I change the start menu font, well not the actual "font" as such but how do i make the text NOT appear in bold
-> to clarify I have tried/searched all the possible solutions to this including:
The direction outlined here: http://vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=552.msg2604;topicseen

(2) How do I make the "more programs list" transparent (picture provided)
-> I have followed panda.x and his directions provided here: http://stylehacks.deviantart.com/art/Composited-Programs-List-101699264?offset=10#comments

im running Vista Ultimate x64, any help appreciated.

Thanks to all in advance!

EDIT: Clarified by what i meant in (1)
