1  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Internet Explorer 7 & 8 menu bar? on: July 20, 2010, 08:30:03 am
Don't let it get to you, you don't have to please everyone else just worry about yourself!

Just ignore any negative comments. You come here to get answers not to get every ones approval for anything, everyone has different tastes.... ( although I do have to say that is very creative trying to make a theme around golden retrievers and indian clipart and probably not a very easy task).

My motto: I design for myself, screw everyone else!

Why be sorry? As long as you are happy with it who cares what everyone else thinks.....
3  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Bmp file in exlorerframe... on: April 01, 2010, 05:14:08 pm
Have you tried selecting your image, then create your alpha channel, in the alpha channel fill your selection with white, then go back to your layers and create a new layer and put below your image and fill with black and merge them together?

Just upload a png of it here and I will see if I can get it to work.
4  Help / Windows 7 / Re: explorerframe.dll does not apply... on: February 17, 2010, 11:38:17 pm
If I remember correctly the search magnifying glass that I changed was: image 34561
and Image 288 is the one that I changed for the refresh button.

Unless you changed them all and this is happening than I don't know.
5  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Taskbar button on: January 26, 2010, 01:21:38 am
I did not realize there was a new version. There should be a post about new versions as they come out (unless there is and I'm just dumb lol)

There is under the Announcements board with a thread titled " VSB 1.5 released"(or something like that)..... you aren't dumb, you just did not see it! Wink
6  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Taskbar button on: January 25, 2010, 11:42:56 pm
Shouldn't it still be the same location as stated above by Vzdorjii no matter what OS you are in under version 1.5? (Just wondering seeing I don't have Vista installed any more in a dual boot).
7  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Taskbar button on: January 25, 2010, 10:13:02 pm

10  Help / Windows 7 / Re: start button bmp image bug on: January 21, 2010, 09:28:26 am
Here is what I came up with:

This is what the bmp looks like:

Done in Photoshop CS4...

Steps on how to do it:

1: create your images and lay them out normally
2: merge layers
3: Select menu> load selection
4: open channels panel> create new channel> fill with white> deselect
5: layers panel > create new layer and put below your image and fill entire layer with black
6: merge layers and save as bmp 32bit
11  Help / Windows 7 / Re: start button bmp image bug on: January 20, 2010, 12:12:35 am
Save it as PNG, open the PNG in GIMP then save it as BMP in GIMP. GIMP doesn't fully support PSD files.

That was my next suggestion! Cheesy
12  Help / Windows 7 / Re: start button bmp image bug on: January 19, 2010, 11:17:30 pm
Ok, it was just a suggestion, so now we can rule that out...

Is this the way you usually do them, by saving them to psd and then gimping them to bmp's?

13  Help / Windows 7 / Re: start button bmp image bug on: January 19, 2010, 10:10:20 pm
It might have to do with bit depth, I don't think 8bit bmp's include alpha, I think they need to be saved as 32bit bmp's...

Bitmap 633 and the shine layer is bitmap 632 for the leftpane background.

And the other one might be bitmap 635 and has a shine layer which is bitmap 634.

All in shell32.dll under bitmap...
16  Main / Announcements / Re: No support for pirated copies on: December 09, 2009, 09:24:23 pm
So in reality people who have a pirated copy still get support from us paid people by not having to log on to see the forum and the help us paid people give to one another (ex: where images are located, or help with software trouble), is that right? Or am I missing something? Maybe I am just confused that even though support is not given to people who pirated the software, they can still get support one way or another. I say lock down the forum so only registered members can see it and have there key tied to the user account.....

21  Main / Announcements / Re: No support for pirated copies on: November 22, 2009, 10:29:51 pm
Why not link the persons username on the forum to there license info.... ( if that would even work)??

Upon registration to the forum you must provide your license key ( if not you cannot register) and if all ready registered you have so many days to email Andreas your username and license info...( or your forum account gets deleted)

I would be more than happy to send in my license info to show that I am legit!

Disclaimer:(Just an idea and not really sure if it would work)
22  Help / Windows 7 / Re: WSB wont open :S on: November 22, 2009, 10:00:08 pm
What is it with people these days?

"I have a problem running a pirated version of your software can you help me?"  Yes, BUY it!!

Great software Andreas, definitely worth every penny I spent on it (and more)!!

24  Help / Windows 7 / Re: last two images to change on: August 05, 2009, 02:06:19 am
All I did was created a new image the same size and filled it all white with a 1 pixel black line on the right side of the image and then recreated the alpha channel so that my black line was white in the alpha channel.. it seems that if nothing is in the alpha channel the image results in it disappearing.

In other words it seems you can not have a blank alpha channel!?

You could try just a one pixel dot of the same color as the background!!
