2123  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Looking for some res and icons (please I need to finish my VS) on: December 03, 2009, 08:40:55 pm
1) You have the clock answer I see. The white strip on bottom is taskbar&traynotify>traynotify>basic>traynotify flyout>footer in case you wanted it.
2) the computer "rank". Bad news. See  http://vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=710.03
3) Did you check Explorer.exe for those icons yet?
2124  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Search some res games device center and some headers on: December 03, 2009, 02:53:33 pm
This is just a guess (I'm on Vista): For the backgrounds have you checked shell32.dll bitmaps 632 through 635?

Take a look at this?:  http://vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=657.0

Kaxaml just reformats UI files to make them easier to read.  Has nothing to do with actual editing.

Watch Panda"s video in Tutorials.

How did you change the textcolor in the Start Menu search?

I read in a post here that you could no longer do that in Win7.....obviously not so.

Another point:  I don't like how whenever you make an entry your IP Address is stuck on it as a creator identifier. That should be changed.
2132  Windows Style Builder / Bug Reports / Re: Bug: on: November 26, 2009, 03:07:05 am
Works ok in Vista part.  I've added stuff to Explorer+Shell.

2134  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Help about few images on: November 24, 2009, 09:35:26 pm
In Vista...maybe Win7:

1) Explorer+Shell>Shell>PreviewPane>4
2) I think is Fonts+SystemMetrics>Buttonface:Color

Have to check other two
2135  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Desktop Context menu on: November 24, 2009, 07:55:24 pm
PopupMenu in Vista...maybe Win7. Background, gutters, borders etc
2136  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Hiden icon panel resources on: November 23, 2009, 01:49:00 pm
Yeah, I'm still on Vista so I wouldn't know.

I just passed on a solution I saw in http://vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=646.0 and Spitzen's comment in  http://vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=629.msg2972#msg2972.

Sorry for the confusion....but CoLnE got helped...so we all live happily ever after...right?

2137  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Hiden icon panel resources on: November 23, 2009, 03:44:34 am
Let's get something straight:

1) I'm NOT on VSB1.4
2)CoLnE IS likely because of all his email problem posts detailed in the "VSB1.5 Released" thread which I guess never got fixed.

I was just trying to help CoLnE out.  End of story.
2138  Help / Windows 7 / Re: WSB wont open :S on: November 22, 2009, 02:07:27 pm
You click VSB.exe + It does nothing?   Or you click OPEN + nothing happens?
2139  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Some questions about theming. on: November 21, 2009, 10:50:39 pm
In Vista, maybe Win7:

Background Program List: Explorer+Shell>Explorer>TreeView: Fillcolor

Search Background:  Address,Breadcrumbs+Search>Search>SearchBox>Basic>Normal>active>1

Address Bar Textcolor+Font:  Toolbars>Toolbars>BB ToolBar>Basic>Normal>active+inactive: textcolor

Logoff Buttons: StartMenu>Panels>Basic>LogOffSplitButtonDownDown

Background of Run: Bunch of stuff....like Explorer+Shell>Shell>TaskDialog>PrimaryPanel etc.
2140  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Hiden icon panel resources on: November 21, 2009, 10:05:57 pm
1 is other>flyout>6

2 is maybe flyout>7?   or  Windows 7 > Taskbar & Tray Notify > Tray Notify > Basic > Tray Notify Flyout > Footer
2141  Help / Windows 7 / Re: how i can change the startmenu size on: November 19, 2009, 02:36:58 pm
Change DEFAULTPANESIZE:RECT sizes: x,y,width,height.

Right side: Places LIst

Left side: More Programs, Program List, NSC host, Open Box, Search View.  Stay consistent with changed values.

In Win7 this was supposedly fixed (I'm on Vista so I don't know for sure) but look at this just in case:

http://vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=539.

An EASIER METHOD: Find a vs with a start menu you like. Download it. Open it with VSB. Copy the Start Menu Panels measurements. Change the measurements on your vs to these.
Look at how the measurements are different. It will teach you a lot.
2142  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Need to find this images. hurry please on: November 10, 2009, 08:31:19 pm
Could be Fonts+System metrics>BtnFace:Color
2143  Main / Announcements / Re: VSB 1.5 Released on: November 08, 2009, 03:39:54 pm
Works fine for me.
If you have something like 0, 200, 128 you just put in the 0, answer whether you want to look in images, then click the search box, enter the next number with a space (0, 200), then the third value with a space (0, 200, 128) and it will show anything with those rgbs. The search box will look like 0, 200, 128. Really Wink

Sometimes it is too sensitive. If you try to enter 128 + do it too slow it will get stuck on 1 or 12. Just hit cancel, click the search box + enter the rest of the value.

And that's it. Works perfect every time I used it Smiley

Anything in particular?
2145  Help / Windows 7 / Re: searching Some hidden parts locations on: November 05, 2009, 01:02:52 pm
Maybe in Win7 but not for Vista.

I've got the Primary Panel (and everything else!) in Shell>TaskDialog and TaskDialogStyle to black with white text and I still get this crap:

Guess it's another good reason to go Win7?

btw I like your UFOs and aliens Smiley
2146  Help / Windows 7 / Re: searching Some hidden parts locations on: November 04, 2009, 09:00:40 pm
In Vista I looked everywhere in msstyles and shellstyle but could never find the background or text color.

I have never seen a vs yet that has.

If you find out please post how. Good luck!
2147  Other / Other / Re: The future of replacing resources... on: November 02, 2009, 03:28:11 am
Another tantalizing tidbit like the start orb app with which this is likely associated. A name but no new icon. Who knows how far along this is in development. I'd guess not far.

K-Johnson's idea is excellent. But if they've already got the app up + running I doubt they'll incorporate it into AveStyler. Twice as much work with half as much return.

I wonder how long it will be before we are told more details?

2148  Help / Windows Vista / Re: find colour on: November 01, 2009, 02:23:25 am
The background of the circled spot is Fonts+SystemMetrics>WindowColor:Color.
The textcolor is Fonts+SystemMetrics>WindowTextColor:Color.
It's got nothing to do with the rest of the clock or calendar.
2149  Main / Announcements / Re: Need your help. on: October 28, 2009, 07:25:39 pm
Thanks again for your help! I was worried.

Maybe somebody should list what properties + values will prevent a VSBmade Vs from porting. Might help some people ( like me) who don't know.
2150  Main / Announcements / Re: Need your help. on: October 28, 2009, 07:12:42 pm
Why won't I? I mean...what determines whether something can be ported or not? Why one and not another?

Thanks for your offer....but it won't be for awhile. Waiting on my "free upgrade" I got after I blew up my computer last summer and had to get a new one Cry
2151  Main / Announcements / Re: Need your help. on: October 28, 2009, 06:56:53 pm
So....why does Satukoro's work port and iJesse's doesn't?

They are both first class stylists. So there's gotta be a reason.

I want to know because when I try to port "Dead Vista" to Win7 I hope I don't have to start all over again Sad
2152  Help / Windows 7 / Re: 5 Simple Questions on: October 28, 2009, 03:35:52 pm
One last question. Could you give me a hint what needs to be changed in the shellstyle?

Thanks again for taking the time Smiley
2153  Help / Windows 7 / Re: 5 Simple Questions on: October 28, 2009, 03:29:12 pm
Thanks........but......

1) Depends on what?
2) So I don't need the .themes file? Just go with .msstyles as usual?
$) Shit....could you give me some idea what has to be changed?

2154  Help / Windows 7 / 5 Simple Questions on: October 28, 2009, 03:07:30 pm
I'm going to get Win7 soon + I'll want to port something from Vista (made with VSB) to it. I've got a couple of simple questions I hope somebody will answer:

1) Will it port or not?
2) Unlike in Vista do I have to put everything in a named Theme folder?
3) Can I simply replace the ExplorerFrame.dll bmps with my browseui.dll bmps? Are the bmp numbers the same?
4) Is my shellstyle.dll still good in Win7
5) I have read bmps 632-635 in Shell32 have to be changed for Control Panel appearance. Anything else in Shell32 important to change?

Thanks.
2155  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Navigation Buttons... on: October 28, 2009, 02:20:57 am
Not in VSB.

Vista: browseui.dll in System32 + SysWow64

Win7: explorerframe.dll in system32
2156  Main / Announcements / Re: VSB 1.5 Released on: October 23, 2009, 07:10:39 pm
Your AppData/Roaming/Vsb/settings.ini.
If you can't find AppData tick "Show hidden files + folders" in your Folder Options.
2157  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Restore User Picture - Start Menu on: October 21, 2009, 02:40:16 am
Um...can you actually see what's written in these screenshots. I can't. Not even with a magnifying glass Huh?

Try again. Or just write out what you've got. The first 2 look like the same thing, and the 3rd is likely DEFAULTPANE:RECT. But that's all I can make out in these shots.
2158  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Time-Date and Calendar background on: October 20, 2009, 10:05:32 pm
I guess you have to change ALL the images Shocked

What really bothers me now is that white square Tongue If it's not in Timedate.cpl where the hell is it?
2159  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Restore User Picture - Start Menu on: October 20, 2009, 09:18:39 pm
Seeing that USERPICTURE:BOOL is checked, maybe you should show a picture of all the parameters you get when you click USERPANE. See also if there's a TRANSPARENT:BOOL there. If so then uncheck that.
2160  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Time-Date and Calendar background on: October 20, 2009, 08:52:25 pm
In Vista all the calender stuff is in Explorer+Shell>Shell>MonthCal. Maybe same in Win7 I don't know. Lots of stuff to play with there.
