Help / Windows 7 / Re: IE Font Color?

All I can tell you is everything on the left is a combination of:
Fonts & System Metrics > DkShadow:Color > MenuText:Color > WindowText:Color
Couldn't find textcolor for "Google".
I'll look around.

You can't because most of it is ToolBars, Headers & Rebar > ToolBars & Headers > Tool Bar which is a FillColor not an Image.

The buttons in XPS are Toolbars, Headers & Rebar > Toolbars & Headers > Toolbars > DropDown Button. Just like I told you. I checked them myself.

I suppose you tried all the Explorer&Shell > Explorer > TreeView > TreeItem states right?
Maybe Explorer&Shell > Explorer > Proper Tree > 1. Been wondering when that was going to show up.
I don't have a Home Group so I can't check for sure.

Help / Windows 7 / Re: Where is the SS ?

What's "SS"? You mean the button background?
To do anything with the taskbar buttons go to Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBand > Basic > TaskBand >TaskItemButton and change the 10 images for the 10 different states.

You use a resource editor like Restorator or Resource Hacker 3.5 Beta. You go to Shell32.dll in your System32 folder. If you use Restorator you Extract the bitmaps to your desktop. Open the bitmaps in your image editor. Save your changes. Now copy and paste your new bitmaps on to the old ones via Restorator. Save as Shell32.dll to your desktop. Now you have a new Shell32 with your bitmaps. I would also do bitmaps 632 & 633 which are the left panel in the Control Panel screens. The bitmaps must be 32 bit bitmaps. I usually convert the bmps to pngs using an online convertor. Then I save the pngs in MSPaint which will automatically convert them to 32 bit pngs. Then I go back to the online convertor and convert the pngs back to bmps. Now I have 32 bit bitmaps. There's probably easier ways, but this way works. This is the online convertor I use: http://www.coolutils.com/Online/Image-Converter/

No. Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Proper Tree > 2 is a fillcolor...it has no image associated with it.
Maybe you could do it by linking the shellstyle to msstyles via Direct UI manipulation. But this is way over my head. Check out Panda's (and others) Direct UI posts. Good luck!

Go to Fonts, Colors & SystemMetrics > Colors and check all your Edge colors
Might have something to do with Shadows? Maybe transparency ( My frames are all solid color and perfectly square)?
That's all I got. Sorry.

The image. The non-border part has to be 100% transparent. (Under 1 level of alpha as defined by the alpha threshold property) I've been looking at this screenshot and it bothers me You said you replaced the Places List image with a blank image with Panda X written on it with 1% opacity. The result is: 1) The wallpaper ( flowers) is blocked by the Panda X 2) The other stuff like the Separators and Log Off Button are visible only through the Panda X writing Where's the transparency? What I want to know is if it's possible to create a totally transparent Places List Image allowing BOTH the wallpaper and Separators etc to be seen...not just one or the other.

Square off your frame images. Make everything 90 degree angles. Also. Take your frame images and color all the different parts. Test it to see what parts have what colors. Stop testing. Change the colors and parts to what you want. Test again. Keep testing until the frames look right. Then save your images. This is the best way to find out locations and structure. Do this everywhere you have questions about. Use the Test button over and over. That's what it is for. You won't break it

Help / Windows 7 / Re: X86 bugs in the visual style

That's only for system files not msstyles. Msstyles should work the same whether x64 or x86.
Weird why so many people are having trouble with the msstyles on x86 with this theme. Doesn't make sense.
