I am in the same situation as a lot here, paid for the app, want to install it again, still have the email links and registration info, can't access the web site, cant download from the links and can't get any support or responses to my emails about this.

Very unprofessional and frustrating.

4  Help / Windows 7 / Start Menu Search Results Window on: October 29, 2009, 10:24:50 pm
Start menu before and after a search query

 - Would anyone know what image that line between the search box and the shut down buttons in the after search query is  ?

 - Also in the after search query shot, the image or color immediately around the shut down button is different to the before  search window , anyone know how I could change that ?

 - The same image is also indented about one pixel

    Thanks for any help ..........
5  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Top Config panel color/background on: October 29, 2009, 09:47:15 pm
In case anyone else is reading this post, what happened in my case at least, is that Windows expects 32bit .bmp images in the images you replace for the control panel and almost anywhere else for that matter. It seems not all editing programs can save your images as 32bit in the programs default format, that is.

So in my case I simply found a plugin for Paint.net which enabled it to save my .bmp images in 32bit. As a result you may not need to install an entire new editing program.

7  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Start menu search results window on: October 25, 2009, 12:06:13 am
Thanks Panda X

I've edited the images in those two locations in both aero and basic with a solid color but I still get that clear looking frame showing up.

I have these values in place maybe thats the error ? If anyone could help I won't have to get agro and run around with one leg in the air.

UPDATE [no pun intended]  Tongue

The backgrounds for the system clock fly outs ARE in the timedate.cpl file. There are 12 .png images in there and I edited only the clock face ones ie. 6 only and all is nice.

11  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Time-Date and Calendar background on: October 20, 2009, 10:10:05 pm
Haha  it probably is in the .cpl  I think I've just done something wrong,  if I figure it out I'll post back here, thanks for trying to help 3am :-)
12  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Time-Date and Calendar background on: October 20, 2009, 09:56:07 pm
Not so sure if I edited them correctly or not  Shocked  I found 12 images in total in there 6 of those where clock faces I made new images of matching sizes for each of the clock face ones then filled those with the background color I wanted. Then merged the two into one image and saved them in the .cpl.

I thought it worked ok because the changes are there in the other two windows I mentioned.

13  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Time-Date and Calendar background on: October 20, 2009, 09:23:50 pm
Thanks 3am  Smiley

Been through there with a fine tooth comb thanks to your post by the way. It's got something to do with timedate.cpl, like the date and time window is perfect so is the date and time settings window when I access them through the control panel. It's when I access the calendar from the taskbar that the clock background is still unchanged it's still white behind the clock itself.

So I don't know  . sruggs   Tongue

Can't figure this out if any could help please ?

I found info here on the forum http://vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=629.0 about changing the background color of the clock with thanks to 3am and Spitzen.

So I color filled where needed and got the results. Then from this http://vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=502.0 post and an entry from rajtheeban I edited the timedate.cpl but it seems only to have worked in Time and Date window and not in the Calendar window.

These are the two images so you know what I'm on about.

Time/Date :   http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/6471/datetime.jpg

Calendar :  http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/4341/calendarp.jpg  So if anyone knows what I'm doing wrong ... thanks

19  Help / Windows 7 / Status Bar Icons & CP Font Color ? on: October 11, 2009, 10:54:35 pm
Hi,

I've managed to find where to change the font color for most of the control panel fonts
but still can't locate the "view by" one shown here ?

If anyone knows if, and if so how, to control the icons that show in the status bar ?

Thanks guys.
20  Help / Windows 7 / Re: how to change clock dialogue background on: October 09, 2009, 05:05:06 pm

Did anyone figure how to change the clocks white background yet ?

Because I created a new size-matched image for each of the clock images in the timedate.cpl, filled the new images with the  color I wanted as the background then merged the original image layer with the newly created ones and replaced them but the end result is no change in the msstyle.

If anyone could clue me in on this would be much appreciated  ..... cheers.
