if you were able to do this concept, you can do it in reality concept is more difficult than reality ^^
unfortunaly, some parts of this VS are impossible to realize : the right-click (corners rounded), the back/forward buttons maybe too big

if you use vista:
1) Explorer & Shell > Explorer > ListView > ListItem > Hot (selected etc) 2) Fonts, Colors & System Metrics > Fonts & System Metrics BTNFACE:COLOR 3) like 1) 4) Lists, Menus & Tabs > ListView > GroupHeader (HEADING1TEXTCOLOR)

|
on: October 09, 2009, 12:57:53 pm
|
1) open this file 2) extract the 3.txt in UIFILE folder 3) search this part (somewhere in middle) 4) after "element" place this text : foreground="themeable(argb(255, 255, 128, 64), windowtext)" 5) finally replace "255", "128", "64" by your color (so 255, 255, 255, 255 for white)

if you use Vista: for the separator, like said Koumy 1) About the "favorites links" text: is not localized in VSB, but in your shellstyle. Search this text (in the middle): <if id="atom(ProperTreeLinksHeader)"> <Element foreground="themeable(argb(255, 139, 139, 139), windowtext)" background="themeable(argb(255, 252, 252, 252), window)" padding="rect(9rp,9rp,0rp,7rp)" font="gtf(textstyle, TEXT_BODYTEXT, 0)" /> You can : a) change the font of this text (the type, the style, the size and its color): for example ( just replace the "font" text by) <if id="atom(ProperTreeLinksHeader)"> <Element animation="rectangleh|s|slow" foreground="themeable(argb(255, 114, 130, 147), windowtext)" background="resbmp(113,6,0,0,0,0,0)" padding="rect(28rp,0rp,25rp,7rp)" fontface="The name of your font here" fontsize="The size of your fontrp" fontstyle= "shadow" (or delete it) ex: <if id="atom(ProperTreeLinksHeader)"> <Element animation="rectangleh|s|slow" foreground="themeable(argb(255, 114, 130, 147), windowtext)"background="resbmp(113,6,0,0,0,0,0)"padding="rect(28rp,0rp,25rp,7rp)" fontface="Lucida Grande Bold" fontsize="15rp"b) you can add your own image: like shown, in the background line, place this text (before add your own image): background="resbmp(113,6,0,0,0,0,0)" (113= the number of your image in the Bitmap folder) 2) for the background of the "folder" text: Explorer & Shell > Shell > ProperTree > <1> you can also change the style of these text: just follow the same instructions; search this text <if id="atom(ProperTreeHeader)"> and following 3) for the background of explorer: in Vista unfortunaly also in your shellstyle: search this text: foreground="themeable(ARGB(255, 0, 0, 0), windowtext)" background="themeable(ARGB(255, 252, 252, 252), window)" sortcolumn="themeable(ARGB(255, 252, 252, 252), window)" subtext="ARGB(255, 139, 139, 139)" animation="rectangle|s|fast" and change the "background" and "sortcolumn" color question: what the name of your icons you use ?? (for the folder i mean)

Help / Windows Vista / Re: another problem with colour
|
on: October 07, 2009, 11:11:22 am
|
1) for the first problem, yes damn problem; i have this difficulty: but easier to solve in your case (because i use a gradient effect for all the context-menu) i suggest the same answer as Spitzen: just use the same color for the bottom 2) for the "view" menu , the background is localized here: Lists, Menus & Tabs > Menu > PopUpBackground it changes also the color of your all others menu (contex-menu etc) just a example: so just use the same color for all these parts

yes, you can try to change in Fonts, Colors & System Metrics > Fonts & System Metrics the captionbar width and height (28 for both for ex) but it also make the icons of taskbar and the close/open buttons bigger

my shellstyle.dll doesn't have the images in it.
probably because this text has been removed from your shellstyle: It's precisely these details that determine the presence of these image (bmp 300, 600 etc) try with a complete shellstyle

Hi Panda X this is the problem: in this oobefdlr file the welcome center, with this setting, the welcome center's text appears with a fade in animation, but when we port the SAME code in the shellstyle we obtain the opposite effect I tried all settings possible, in all places available. As Kerry said, i think the fade out animation is only useful after the fade in effect and what means "alpha=0" ? it doesn't appears with others effect (expand, horizontal/vertical and positions animations). Maybe the solution ?

Yes i also discovered accidentally it is possible to change completely the kind of this arrow (adding others symbols) modyfing the font localised in Start > StartMenu > Panels > Basic > PlacesList (add the font property if it doesn't exist ) some example, with others fonts: Wingdings, Webdings, Trendy, Marlet etc and others symbols: You can also change the style and the size of these symbols interesting !

i don't know if that answers your question, just change the "x" to your RGB color:
<if id="atom(clientviewhost)"> <ViewHost foreground="themeable(ARGB(255, 86, 86, 86), windowtext)" background="themeable(ARGB(255, x, x, x), window)" sortcolumn="themeable(ARGB(255, x, x, x), window)" subtext="ARGB(255, 95, 95, 95)"
ex:
<if id="atom(clientviewhost)"> <ViewHost foreground="themeable(ARGB(255, 86, 86, 86), windowtext)" background="themeable(ARGB(255, 0, 0, 0), window)" sortcolumn="themeable(ARGB(255, 0, 0, 0), window)" subtext="ARGB(255, 95, 95, 95)"
= Black background
This is a complete list of RGB color available (name and code) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colorsComplete tuto here: http://ZEUSosX.deviantart.com/art/Black-background-white-text-81934667

not with VSB, only in your shellstyle (at least with Vista); search the following text and change "background" and "sortcolumn" to your color when you find them (5-6 times); foreground = for the text
<if id="atom(clientviewhost)"> <ViewHost foreground="themeable(ARGB(255, 86, 86, 86), windowtext)" background="themeable(ARGB(255, 252, 252, 252), window)" sortcolumn="themeable(ARGB(255, 250, 250, 250), window)" subtext="ARGB(255, 95, 95, 95)"

for the text color of its glow, Styles > AeroWizardStyle

If I remember ( now i use Safari), with Firefox, no doubt, it is possible install the extension called titlebar tweaks, http://www.techsnack.net/titlebar-tweaks-change-your-firefox-titlebar
1) select "browser name" 2) and in "browser name" tab, delete all the words, and create some blank text with "space" (of your keyboard of course !)to remove the firefox icon, open firefox.exe file with restorator, or other resource editor, and replace this icon with a blank icon

other solution for the border: go to Lists, Menus & Tabs > Menu > PopUpBorders and try with "0, 0, 0, 0" for the Sizingmargins
for the highlight in explorer: Explorer & Shell > Explorer > ListView > ListItem > Normal, Hot etc

Help / Windows Vista / Re: Text blank/white-not visible
|
on: September 17, 2009, 06:21:41 pm

hmm all the text doesn't appear, because it is in white color the solution is difficult: i wanted to add a glow effect for the text in explorer (white text and gray glow) the problem is with change in the dialogbox for example, the text and the glow effect are both dark, the result is not very difficult to resolve this "bug" i had to change the color of this text in dialogbox in white
It is the only compromise i have found: add a glow effect for the explorer, and reduce the dark effect for the text in the dialogbox
but this change causes another problem, like yours
problem only in this visual style, because others don't use the glow effect on explorer: if you want to realize yourself the change, go to font, system metrics, and change windowtextcolor (for the text) and windowcolor (for some background),
or you can also remove this glow effect, go to Explorer & Shell > Explorer > ListView and delete all properties added

Start > StartMenu > Panels > Aero > Top: composited:bool (not select it) probably because when i delete this property, the glow effect (fir this arrow) disappears automatically but it's strange, it seems not to work with others visual style
