can we expect VSB support for windows 10

the UI is far to white for my liking

will need to be extensivly modded before i can use as a daily driver

Hi all would like some help with some things

firstly im trying to change the text color of the aerowizard to white but it doesn't seem to work



ive tried adding a text color property to AeroWizardStyle > TitleBar

but its not working

Also i really like the ribbon from Windows 8 is there anyway to mod the windows 7 ribbon from so it looks like the windows 8 one as cant stand that baby blue color

is it in the theme file or some other dll

Hi All just need a little help with aero peek

I'm trying to change the frames in the screen shot but i cant seem to do it
using the latest beta and going here

Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Aero Peek Window

ive tried changing both the Normal and Tools Window and it still stays the same



also 3+ years ago i had a problem with Aero Peek and the caption text

WSB was still new back then and so im hoping someone has found a way to fix it since then

Hi back in the game after 3 years off...

i have a quick question is there anyway i can make the taskbar and taskbuttons darker without having to make the windows darker too

I've got the task bar to be the colour i want by adjusting the colourization slider but i makes the windows dark too and I'm hoping there is a way I can change them independently

is there a value somewhere in VSB that controls the colour of the task bar or how transparent you can make it

using the latest 1.5 version and that didnt work on my theme

i was hoping there was a global setting somewhere and it was just a case of finding it

Ive changed all my caption/title bar text to white and for the most part everything is fine

except if i minimise a window to the task bar and then hover over it (enabling aero peek) the text is black

has anyone else come across this problem before
what property i need to change to make sure the text stays white

just dont know whats going on my theme is 99% complete just need to change the basic taskbar
managed to change the windows and start menu ok just the taskbar is not changing even tho ive changed the images

im starting on the basic part of my theme and i am having some problems

first of all i started off with the task bar

ive identified the following Images for the Top/Bottom and Left/Right parts of the task bar (1010, 1011, 1012, 1013)

i recoloured the images with PS and then replaced them with restorator and tried importing them via VSB and saving but when i switch to basic the default blue is still there


anyone have any ideas

hi my theme is progressing nicely just have afew probs i want to sort out

first i have a problem with some progress bars



for some reason the blue vertical ones are not displaying properly
i double checked the files i swaped over with the default green ones and they all look ok?
anyone know what the problem is?

secondly ive changed the column background to grey but there is a small triangle that still blue



what value is it so i can change it as well
and how do i change these blue lines that are part of the columns as well

i want to use some toolbar images from on old xp theme but it doest look right on win7/vista because it has different dimensions
i dont really want to use VSB to change the margins cause when it saves the msstyle all the image numbers get changed

so does anyone know how i can go about editing it manually?

do i need to extract a xml file somewhere and change it there?

nevermind problem was with the image editing app
either now editing or saving the pngs properly

Hi thanks for the help but ive got some problems trying the change the "group box"
i got the original image (515.png) and all i did was change the colour from light blue to grey and now its messed up big time
dunno why look at these screens

on windows xp style builder the following value was called "groupbox" i did a search with VSB and couldnt find it
i would like to change the colour of it

and finally where can i find this value/image file for the blue progress bar under the hdds

been a while and still no uxtheme patch for windows 7 x64

is it possible to have independent font and size for the desktop only

for exmaple i like to keep my regualr font & size as Segoe UI 9pt
but for my desktop i would like Trebuchet MS 10pt bold

i want to use win7 badly as well but the theme is similar to vista but now it wont be a problem
