41  Other / Other / I'm back on: June 09, 2009, 07:52:02 pm
Hi!
I was here long time ago. I had to leave this skinning world, but I think I'll be back soon, and I hope I can finish my theme, Njord.
So, you will see me in there, again Smiley

Greets!

P.D.: Anyways, is hard to put a Vista style to Windows 7? Because I was thinking about finish this for almost-dead-Vista, or start it for Windows 7.

This year, Barça is stunning!
43  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Getting rid of this line on: December 30, 2008, 11:06:05 am
I don't understand this image.
I think you want to erase the line on left.

This line is part of Folder's Band (upper), and it goes from left to right, so you can't erase only a part.
44  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Window Borders on: December 23, 2008, 04:33:18 pm
I think not. You can modify the appearance of these borders, but its height is uniform.
45  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Bottom Panel on: December 23, 2008, 01:46:58 pm
I changed all these images, there's still another one that I don't find.

The image that I attached is when you're unpluggin' an USB.

How can I change this grey colour?

P.D.: I "Cannot access attachments upload path!", so I can't upload any image. But well, I hope you understand me: I was talking about the grey part on bottom in windows that appears when you unplugged an USB (that says that you can extract it correctly).
46  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Taskbar Color and Size of Font on: December 23, 2008, 01:40:11 pm
You have to go to: Taskbar & Tray Notify > Taskband > Aero > Toolbar> <default>
You can add different properties for "default", "hot", "pressed", "checked" and "hotchecked". You can add Glow too.
47  Help / Windows Vista / Re: What's the baest way to test indertimanate progress bar? on: December 21, 2008, 01:01:05 pm
I think that the best way is trying to update some drivers.
Open Devices administrador, and click Properties on some device, and click on update drivers. When it's searching drivers online, appears this progress bar. I think it's very quick to trying.
48  Help / Windows Vista / Tab Items Questions on: December 21, 2008, 12:55:15 pm
Hi,

I've some questions about Tab Items:
1) I don't know where's using the "Disabled" and "Focused" items. "Normal", "Hot" and "Selected" are obvious, but I never seen "Disabled" and "Focused" status...
2) What's the difference between "TabItem" (or "TopTabItem") and "TabItemBothEdge" (or "TopTabItemBothEdge")?
2.5) I think that difference between "TabItem" and "TopTabItem" is where there are two lines of tabbing; and TopTabItem is the "default" one, when there's only one line of tabs. That's correct?
3) What's the best way to test ALL this tabs?

Thank you.
49  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Hide folderband? on: December 21, 2008, 10:39:12 am
And where is it?
You have to create a Folder in %windir%/Resources.
Check out this UK.Intel's tutorial, especially the firsts steps:

50  Help / Windows Vista / Re: What's the baest way to test indertimanate progress bar? on: December 20, 2008, 07:59:16 pm
And about that... I'm looking for this background image (the bar). Do you know where it is?
51  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Crashes? [bug?] on: December 18, 2008, 02:13:56 pm
I saw that it usually crashes when I unlogged my user (or suspend my computer) and later I try to test my visual style.
It doesn't happen always, but sometimes.
52  Help / Windows Vista / Re: How can I change this color? on: December 15, 2008, 01:02:40 pm
No, I haven't found it. I searched for any border, and for any (0, 0, 0) color...
53  Help / Windows Vista / Re: How can I change this color? on: December 15, 2008, 10:36:25 am
I hadn't found it yet. I'll search for it; I'll post again it later.
54  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Help! Bar does this for every theme! on: December 15, 2008, 10:35:40 am
And about this...:
There's a way to apply the theme that you're editing? Not for test.
The only way that I saw is saving theme and saying yes to apply this theme.
I think that an Apply button below Test will be useful.
55  Help / Windows Vista / Re: How to make the taskbar smaller? on: December 14, 2008, 06:07:11 pm
Ok, thank you! This is very useful to know.
56  Help / Windows Vista / Re: How to make the taskbar smaller? on: December 14, 2008, 05:33:23 pm
But, once you saved your style with VSB, I though that VARIANT vary, so you can't edit it with hex anymore. That's correct?
I was doing some proves with a 22px taskbar. But now I think that is too little, so I think I'll use stylehack for a 24px taskbar.
Very thank you for your help and patience.
57  Help / Windows Vista / Re: How to make the taskbar smaller? on: December 14, 2008, 12:01:15 pm
Sorry for my ineptitude, and thanks for your patience.

I spend hours searching differences between a normal taskbar and small taskbar. I used Difference Tool, and I changed these differences manually. But my taskbar doesn't change.

Can you, please, make a mini-tutorial about "how to make the taskbar smaller", with changings that you have to do?

Very thank you.
58  Help / Windows Vista / Re: How to make the taskbar smaller? on: December 13, 2008, 01:53:56 pm
Thank you! Later I'll try to apply this changes to my style...
59  Help / Windows Vista / Re: How to make the taskbar smaller? on: December 13, 2008, 11:46:31 am
Wow, that's good.

How did you make it? I wanna mean...: I want to make my taskbar smaller, but smaller than 24px for stylehack.
What I've to change to make the taskbar smaller?
I used difference tool, but I'm still confused (my tryings hadn't luck).
60  Help / Windows Vista / Transparent parts? on: December 12, 2008, 10:55:22 am
Hi,

I'm new on this program, so sorry if I ask stupid questions...
I see that you can make some images transparent. So, where are the limitations?
There's an stylehack that make the start menu transparent... Can we add transparency to right-click menus, for example, or DialogTask windows?

What's indispensable to convert an opaque image to transparent? Only disable "Compositeopaque" and mark "composite"? BTW, what's "composite"?

Thanks (for your patience...).
61  Tips and Visual Styles / StyleHacks / Re: Taskbar Shadowed Text on: December 11, 2008, 11:00:01 pm
There are any possibility to change glow (and/or other attributes) when app is "calling" (orange color)?
62  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Help with smaller Header.item on: December 11, 2008, 10:47:54 pm
Thanks for your explanation.

But yes, I already used it.

Difference tool said me:
Quote
FILE 1: WITHOUT STYLEHACK
FILE 2: WITH STYLEHACK

PROPERTIES FOUND IN FILE 1, BUT NOT IN FILE 2
=============================================

PROPERTIES FOUND IN FILE 2, BUT NOT IN FILE 1
=============================================

PROPERTIES WITH DIFFERENT VALUES BETWEEN FILE 1 AND FILE 2
==========================================================

Header <HeaderStyle>.<default>.<default>:SIZINGMARGINS:MARGINS
   file1 : 2, 0, 9, 14
   file2 : 1, 1, 1, 2

Header <HeaderStyle>.HeaderItem.<default>:SIZINGMARGINS:MARGINS
   file1 : 2, 3, 9, 14
   file2 : 8, 8, 1, 17

Header <HeaderStyle>.HeaderItem.<default>:CONTENTMARGINS:MARGINS
   file1 : 0, 0, 0, 0
   file2 : 3, 0, 0, 0

Header <HeaderStyle>.HeaderItem.<default>:SIZINGTYPE:ENUM
   file1 : STRETCH (1)
   file2 : TILE (2)

Header <HeaderStyle>.HeaderDropDown.<default>:SIZINGMARGINS:MARGINS
   file1 : 2, 0, 9, 14
   file2 : 8, 8, 3, 4

Header <HeaderStyle>.HeaderDropDownFilter.<default>:SIZINGMARGINS:MARGINS
   file1 : 2, 0, 9, 14
   file2 : 8, 8, 3, 4

MaxNavbar::Rebar <Navbar::Rebar>.Background.<default>:SIZINGMARGINS:MARGINS
   file1 : 15, 15, 1, 3
   file2 : 0, 0, 0, 1

So the only changes are some margins, and Header.item images.
I already change it (to 15px height), and I adjusted margins.
But, I don't know why, Header.item still measuring 19px.

P.D.: Appears one change in Rebar, I don't know what it is. I guess it would be a mistake, 'cause there are 2 "sizingmargins" in here; and I think that there's no connection with header.item.

Thanks for your time.
63  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Help with smaller Header.item on: December 11, 2008, 08:40:47 pm
Yep, but even changing this image, Header.item's height is always 19px.
I've changed all header.item images, and no luck. And no luck for color changing too...

How this stylehack works? Anyone knows?
64  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Help with smaller Header.item on: December 11, 2008, 12:39:46 pm
Nobody?

And anyone know how can I change the color of this tabs?
65  Help / Windows Vista / Re: How to make the taskbar smaller? on: December 11, 2008, 12:43:13 am
Did you use difference tool, viewing changes in skin with and without this stylehack?
66  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Bottom Panel on: December 10, 2008, 11:44:36 pm
I think that there's still another one...
67  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Bottom Panel on: December 10, 2008, 01:39:20 pm
I don't know if you found it yet.

There are three different images:
First: (for Colour & Appearance, for example) is where sweatyfish said you: Explorer & Shell>Explorer>Control Panel>LargeCommandArea
Second: (for Change Password, in Control Panel, for example) is in: Explorer & Shell>Explorer>Control Panel>SmallCommandArea
Third: (for little windows, like an exit alert) is in: Explorer & Shell>Shell>TaskDialog>SecondaryPanel

I think that's all.
68  Help / Windows Vista / Help with smaller Header.item on: December 10, 2008, 12:07:19 pm
Hi,

I know that there's a stylehack that do this, but I want to know HOW do this.
I used de difference tool, but it didn't help me.

I want to do a header.item with height about 15px (not 19px with StyleHack). How can I do?
I changed margins and all images from "Header", but it still being 19px.

Any help?
Thank you.
69  Help / Windows Vista / Re: adressbar/searchbar color in explorer on: December 09, 2008, 08:01:27 pm
Hi,

For Address:
Toolbars, Headers & Rebar > Toolbars & Headers > BB Toolbar > Aero > Normal > Active / InActive > default :
and Normal, Hot (on focus) and Pressed.

For Search bar, it is in:
Address, Breadcrumb & Search > Search > Edit > Aero > Active / InActive

This search bar on browser is the same that Start Menu.
70  Help / Windows Vista / How can I change this color? on: December 09, 2008, 07:52:31 pm

I don't remember how I could change it.
Anyone know where are properties about this rectangle?

Thank you.
