Thank you for the help Smiley
2  Help / Windows 10 / Explorer TreeView in Windows 10 v1809 on: October 04, 2018, 11:24:40 pm
It seems in the latest Windows v1809 the TreeView background no longer applies.
Until now the TreeView background in Windows Explorer was changed in Explorer & Shell > Explorer > ProperTree > Background > FILLCOLOR
and the text color was possible due to a hack to the shellstyle.dll but that no longer works as well.

Any idea on how to make it work again? Maybe some clever hacking of the shellstyle.dll?

Thanks in advance!
3  Help / Windows 10 / Anyone tested out the newest Windows 10 RS4 v.1803 (Spring Creators Update)? on: April 09, 2018, 09:30:03 pm
The latest major update from Windows 10 (RS4) has been released to the Insiders Program.
Did anyone had a chance to test it out and if yes I would really appreciate some feedback like:
- is the UltraUXThemePatcher still working?
- are the old themes (from 1703&1709) still working or do we have to replace the shellstyle.dll?
- are there any changes to the maps?

Any info would be awesome!
4  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Strange Issue with theme w10 on: April 09, 2018, 09:20:51 pm
If you've updated Windows from 1703 to 1709 then you have to patch your DLLs again using UltrathemeUXPatcher. The maps in both 1703 and 1709 are the same so I'm guessing your problem must be the unpatched DLLs.
5  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Problem with 14971 on: December 15, 2016, 06:58:44 pm
Did anyone find a fix for this? Or we have to wait for an updated WSB version?
6  Help / Windows 7 / Re: How to convert a Windows 8 theme to Windows 7? on: November 21, 2014, 03:27:27 pm

7  Help / Windows 7 / How to convert a Windows 8 theme to Windows 7? on: November 21, 2014, 02:39:15 pm
Just like the title says: is there a way to convert a Windows 8 theme to Windows 7?

I couldn't find any help on this so not sure if the question has been asked before.
I've tried exporting resources using style hacks to a new theme but it only broke it.
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!
8  Windows Style Builder / Bug Reports / Re: After WSB crash, the style won't work! Help please! on: November 03, 2014, 11:04:52 am
Awesome! Thanks Grim for the tip!
This should be common knowledge but I couldn't find this info anywhere on the forum.
9  Windows Style Builder / Bug Reports / After WSB crash, the style won't work! Help please! on: November 03, 2014, 03:08:45 am
After working all day long on a theme WSB crashed and now the style doesn't work anymore. Using the latest beta release 1.5.6.3. This version has been crashing like crazy, specially when copy/pasting properties.
I get the usual Can't test Error:

So yeah... I'm pretty fucked! I'd rather jump from the windows than start this from scratch!
I've attached the msstyle file if anyone cares to take a look. Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance!
10  Help / Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 / Re: Save dialog color on: August 14, 2014, 06:14:58 pm
That seems to do the trick but I wanted a bigger font on the push button so this was the day to set it up.
Guess I'll give up on this one.

There's actually nothing wrong with your buttons. They just aren't showing accurately in the Control Preview:

btw this is with Ubuntu font

There are some other situation when the text is cut by the button.
Here's another example:
12  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Vertical Taskbar Width on: August 14, 2014, 01:39:43 pm
This was something that I wished for a long long time... and finally it's doable!
Here's the little software that does the trick: http://rammichael.com/7-taskbar-tweaker

There's only one problem: it doesn't work for the taskbar on the second screen. So if you're using a multidisplay setup you'll have to wait for a future version of the software.
Make sure you right click on the tray icon>advanced settings and set the no_width_limit = 1.
And that's it... you can now enjoy small icons in a narrow vertical taskbar!

PushButton images too small? Margins are off? Both? Hard to tell for sure

I think they're both ok IMHO. I've attached the theme if you have time to take a look.
I'm guessing it doesn't like custom fonts other than the default Segoe UI. Here I'm using the Ubuntu font which has a pretty big kerning.

Again you're my savior! Thank you my friend!

Off topic.... you wouldn't happen to know anything about fixing this problem, now do you?

Lists, Menus, & Tabs > Menu > PopUpGutter

Isn't there a way to overwrite this? I have a dark popup menu but I would like the save dialog to stay light grey.
16  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Explorer select textcolors on: August 04, 2014, 01:25:00 am
Fixed and attached

I just made

Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > ItemsView > Details > Selected > Textcolor

Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > ItemsView > Details > Selected Property > Textcolor

white Wink

And again you saved the day mister! Thank you very much!
17  Help / Windows 7 / Re: Explorer select textcolors on: August 03, 2014, 04:17:07 pm
In 8 you can do it in msstyles. But in 7 it's more complicated.

On Win 8 I'm trying to change the text to white for all the selected items, just like the guy above asked but it doesn't work.
From what you said above it should work on win 8 but not luck for me.
I've attached the msstyle file if you like to take a look at it please.
Thanks!
18  Help / Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 / Re: Tree view gone after Win7 import on: August 02, 2014, 10:30:53 am
I just replied to your message there... this problem was with another theme.
But today for some reason it works ok... the treeview is there in the save dialog window.
Can it be because I'm using now your Shell folder from the theme that you fixed? Can that be the root of the previous problem?
19  Help / Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 / Tree view gone after Win7 import on: August 02, 2014, 01:56:34 am
I've just imported one of my older Win 7 theme and the tree view in the Save as... dialog is gone.
Anyone has any idea of how to bring it back?

Thanks in advance!
