5  Help / Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 / Re: WSB : SHELL32.DLL And OldNewExplorer on: April 20, 2014, 06:09:00 pm
good afternoon

I wonder if you can put in the WSB place to put pictures of shell32.dll, so that when you install the theme has come up with them.
Another thing, I installed OldNewExplorer, but he's not putting pictures of shell32.dll, for that I have to use a specific program. Is the problem the program, problem windows 8.1 or have to do a specific theme or a setting on wsb?

thank you

The Shell32 images have to be placed in specific properties within the Msstyle to work with OldNewExplorer. The properties below are where to place the images at. Once OldNewExplorer's Shell extension is installed, the Images in said properties below overwrite the default ones within the Shell Extension as long as the theme remains in use.

These are the properties for Shell32 Images.

For the Control Panel :
Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Control Panel > ControlPanel > NavigationPane

For the Windows Logo in System Properties:
Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Control Panel > ControlPanel > ContentPane > Branding Image

For the Details Pane :
Explorer & Shell > Explorer > PreviewPane > Details Background

Remove the  font at the location mentioned  in the  above post,or wherever your basic > panels > placeslist happens to be.
A normal font in that location will turn the arrow into  a number 8.

This whole time I tried to find it everywhere and it was just that font property. I have no words lol. But thanks for the help. =)

This page has been modified from the MSPaint Canvas Border Topic. I'll be posting up messages here asking where I can find certain properties.

It might be appworkspace in sysmetrics. I'm pretty sure it's one of the sysmetric colors, but I can't test it.

It is Appworkspace in SysMetrics. Thanks man.

Where is this space located in the MSStyle? I've looked over the Theme Building guide and I can't seem to find out where this is at. Normally the default MSPaint Canvas is white. But the usual "Grey" border (That is the white space in this theme) will conflict with the default White background when MSPaint is opened. Do you know where the area shown in the screenshot could be at?
