1  Help / Windows 10 / Re: inactive titlebar text on: March 30, 2016, 10:06:30 am
I am trying to change the inactive titlebar text to white like that active titlebar, I changed the text color to white in all active and inactive in Windows and Caption Buttons > Aero > Dwm Window > Frames > Normal > Top also changed the captiontext and inactivecaptiontext to white in fonts and system metrics.
I did not change any images just the text.

Thank you
Jerry

Hey Bongo, who do you get rid of the Taskband Colored Line at the bottom of the screen? Thx!

3  Help / Windows 10 / Customizing the Taskbar on: November 24, 2015, 04:04:46 pm
Hi,
i really like theming in Windows 10 but one thing bothers me really...the new Taskbar. I think MS rewrote the taskbar which makes us impossible to theme, right?
I know there is a way to change the CONTENTMARGIN to the remove the lines under the programs but thats not what i want...i'd like to put a Imagefile als Taskband > TaskItemButton or change this ugly orange glow...
Is this possible?

Great to hear theres a patch!

Another Question: Was anybody able to put in a TaskBand Image and TaskbandItem? This changed with Windows 10 in a huge way...

Hey borisbaer,
how did you change the "Schnellzugriff"/Quick Access Icon? I see they are in shell32.dll but that file can't be changed because of its MS Signature.
Thanks!
6  Help / Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 / Re: Shell32.dll and 8.1 on: November 12, 2014, 02:27:05 pm
Hi Guys,

i've read a bunch of websites/posts about the digital signature. It seems to be impossible to keep the signatur...damn  Angry

BUT i've read something about "redirecting" my msstyle with OldNewExplorer to get the icons from imageres.dll (which can be edited safely) and not from shell32.dll.

Can somebody confirm that? If so, could somebody explain how? Or is there another way?

Thanks
Martin
7  Help / Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 / Shell32.dll and 8.1 on: November 02, 2014, 11:23:35 am
Hi Guys,

i'd like to change Icons in the shell32.dll. In any Windows Edition before this was a quick action. But now, with Windows 8.1, the Shell32.dll has a "Digital Signature". If any customization is done on that File, the signature is missing (i know, microsofts security features to protect the user from himself...) and on restart a bluescreen occures.

So, is there a way to customize the shell32.dll AND keep the signatur?

Thanks
Maritn

9  Help / Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 / Theming Progress Bar on: December 12, 2013, 08:46:50 am
Hi Guys,

i need help theming the Progress Bar. I've changed the "small bar" from green to blue already while replacing png's, but don't know how to change the "big bar" and the yellow "hold windows".

Do i have to change color values or images? I'd like to change the bright color, darker color and the lines.

Thank you very much!

Thank you 3am & Mr Grim for your Replies. I changed the Font to blank and resized it to the smallest size (1pt). This is what i get

That ist what i can live with. the small grey line doesn't disturbe.
11  Help / Windows 8 / Windows 8.1 / Re: Window title background - 8.1 preview on: December 11, 2013, 06:37:12 pm
Ok thank you very much! Is there an option to make my theme non-transparent? I don't want the transparency anyway OR to remove the Text and background completely (that would be an option to me)?

First of all, thank you 3am to your fast reply. But...you must think i'm totally stupid  Huh? i don't get it where to put these values (see my screenshot).

Could you edit my theme from the upper attachment, add these values & and a white font so i can learn from it? THAT WOULD BE GREAT!

Thanks

1) Go to Fonts, Colors, & System Metrics > Colors (Globals) and change the COLORIZATIONCOLOR:INT using this tool:
2) Go into your theme file. Change AutoColorization to equal zero and then add a ColorizationColor that is exactly the same as the one you added in the first step

For example:
1) I have a white top frame so I wanted a white text background. I put 0XFFFFFFFF or a solid white in argb hex values and received an Int of -1 which I used in Colors(Globals).
(the a in argb is the amount of transparency. The value varies from 0 or 00 which is totally transparent to 255 or FF which is totally opaque).
2) I then went into my theme file and put this:

AutoColorization=0
ColorizationColor=0XFFFFFFFF

Hi Guys,

today i've started play theming 8.1 with a already existing theme: Embed8. The Theme was created for Windows 8, so the Problem with the Title Background exists (see screenshot)

I've followed every in 3am's detailed instruction, know my colorization: (0xFF525252 / -11382190) and added it to the COLORIZATIONCOLOR:INT, but now im stuck... Cry
Where has the AutoColorization=0 & ColorizationColor to be placed?

If this works, the White glow is gone, so I'd also like to have a White font instead of the black one. Where to change that?
I've added the Theme as attachment.

Thank You Guys.
