Title: Start Menu help
Post by: KoL on November 20, 2008, 11:21:22 pm
hey guys, I'm having some problems with the start menu. I have 3 questions.

1. Why I get that white background in the All Program image? The image doesn't have white.
2. Can we change the logoff buttons?
3. It is possible to change the text color of search bar? If I want to do the search bar black can I change the text color to white?

1. change the   Start > Start Menu > Panels > Basic > More ProgramsTAB  , make the white areas of the image black, and do your designs for hot etc  on each of your positions there also add a propertie, for example ON NORMAL add color : textcolor and then chose lets say white, same add propertie of  textcolor : color on hot etc

2. microsoft had decide on vista to make our life difficult, so even if there are  logoff buttons on the mstyle, in action, those are in use from the system are on the explorer , so you must modify  explorer [C:\Windows\Explorer]

3. Yes it is, [i have found this for you, as because to my visual styles, i have done this via hex editing a long time ago, so  those i found here are  elements concentrated from PandaX http://http://www.vistastylebuilder.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=8

Browseui.dll

Windows\System32

It's not in the .msstyle, unfortunately.

You can also add the properties from Basic > AllProgramsTab to Aero > AllProgramsTab and it'll override rather than using the properties in Basic.
