Title: Hidden Scrollbar
Post by: tistou77 on November 06, 2017, 11:54:29 am
Hello

is it possible to have the scrollbar of the explorer, IE, etc... "auto hidden" like that of the Settings window ?

Thanks

Make

Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Scroll Bars & Trackers > ScrollBar > ThumbButtonHorizontal > Normal
Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Scroll Bars & Trackers > ScrollBar > ThumbButtonVertical > Normal

the same color as your background.

I did not understand what I must do to make the scrollbar "hidden" by default  :-[

What I told you works on my scrollbar. It is invisible until you hover over or press it.

Your scrollbar is likely made differently from mine.

I can't help you unless I know exactly how yours is made and what it looks like.

Here's how. This only works if the background colors of your windows are the same solid color:

1) Go to Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Scroll Bars & Trackers > ScrollBar > ArrowButton

Color the Main Image UpButton, DownNormal, LeftNormal & RightNormal the background color of your windows

Replace the Glyph Images at these locations with transparent images.

2) Color ThumbButtonHorizontal < Normal and ThumbButtonVertical > Normal the background color of your windows

3) Color LeftTrackHorizontal > Normal, RightTrackHorizontal > Normal, UpperTrackVertical > Normal & LowerTrackVertical > Normal the background color of your windows

I tested this on the default Aero scrollbar in 1709 and it worked perfectly.

Aa ok, thanks

In the Settings window, the scrollbar is like this
Hidden : Settings hidden screen
Visible (past mouse over it): Settings visible screen

And in the explorer or IE, it's always like that (Explorer screen)
And I would like to have as for the Settings window

The problem with IE is that it's never the same "wallpaper")

It's possible ?

Thanks so much

First you said you wanted a hidden default scrollbar and I told you how to do it.

Now you say you want to see a thin normal ThumbButton.

So do everything I said except keep your normal ThumbButton images whatever color you want but make the images thinner.
