Title: rounded edge
Post by: tistou77 on February 24, 2013, 03:31:06 pm
Hello

With Windows 8, all edges are "square" is that it is possible to put the "rounded" (like Windows 7)?

Thanks

You have to fake it using the shadow graphic to pad out the frame.

thank you, but I do not understand :-[

in fact, with Windows 8 is like that

And I would be like this (for all windows, programs, etc...)

Thanks so much

Try using the window frames   and shadows from the windows 7 theme, see what happens, might have to edit the  corners of the window frames with an image editor to make them blend into the shadows better. As the frames are designed to be square in windows 8  you might not get this to look perfect.
Locations
  Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Window  -top,bottom,left,right
  Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Details > Shadows - top,bottom,left ,right

Thanks so much for your help, I'll tested.

Yesterday, I searched WSB, but I had not found the "images" corresponding.
I was looking in the wrong place :-[

I tried and the angles are not "pretty" :'(
There is a "shadow" each angles

That is why you need the window shadow,to blend those corners in,make them stand out less.
If you don't want a window shadow, you'll have to use the actual shadow  resources  to make  the curved corners/outer borders of the window frame  ,this will require a little more work with an image editor, and some trial and error  with WSB till you get it right.
