Title: Vertical Taskbar Width
Post by: satukoro on November 23, 2012, 05:22:36 pm
Is there any way to thin out the vertical taskbar? Either through content padding, etc.?

That thread doesn't take care of my problem (and I did go through it and searched for it as well). I'm aware that I can change the height of the horizontal taskbar, I was talking about this:

I guess you didn't read this " The vertical taskbar doesn't size the same way as the top/bottom. The buttons's width is set to automatic to fit the taskbar."

This was something that I wished for a long long time... and finally it's doable!
Here's the little software that does the trick: http://rammichael.com/7-taskbar-tweaker

There's only one problem: it doesn't work for the taskbar on the second screen. So if you're using a multidisplay setup you'll have to wait for a future version of the software.
Make sure you right click on the tray icon>advanced settings and set the no_width_limit = 1.
And that's it... you can now enjoy small icons in a narrow vertical taskbar!
