Title: Outer glow on window frames.
Post by: Legacy-Code on April 16, 2010, 06:32:47 pm
I've used a VS on Vista made by UK.Intel and it had an outer glow around the window frames .Anyone know how i can achhive something similar to my mock up below please ? My frame will most likely be a solid colour with no transparency at all if that matters at all ?

Thanks  :D

Did he have it as part of his frames images?

If so just do the same for your images at Window & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Normal, Fading etc

DWM Window > Shadows, color them blue.

Ok i looked at UK.Intels work and kinda copied what he did ( His is an Aero frame , but mine is a solid non Aero frame , added some inner stroke to the frame and it looks very similar but i cant work out about the outer glow ? I have looked at the  Windows and Caption Buttons > Aero > Dwm Window > Frames and the rest of that section and i cant really see anything. I tried to mess about with the drop shadow as well.
Happy with the result , just be cool to find the glow. :D

All it is is the shadow. He made blue shadows.
Like i said in the post above yours.

Is it possible to move the shadows at all please ? I have mirrored both sides and they match up with the bottom but i want the top to mirror the bottom.so its a uniform glow all around the frame.

Thanks Panda X.
