I only made one visual style, i'm workin on my 2nd.
For this first one, i did not use WSB, did not buy it yet. I remember i edited the shellstyle for some text colors. Now i'm pretty sure Kaxaml must be useful for all themers.
And now i wonder, what sort of things can be edited with this app, that i can't do with WSB ?

I remember i changed margin somewhere, that it applied in the tree items, between items. I saw it here in a post that i can't find no more.
Someone remember the way to edit margin between items ?

It have this sometimes, try to re-save and re-use Visual Style.

The only thing needed is %AppData%/VistaStyleBuilder/licenseinfo which contains your activation details.

Borders : List, Menu & Tabs / Menu / PopUpBorders
Left vertical band : List, Menu & Tabs / Menu / PopUpGutter

I had the same problem with my first visual style, i had blank bands after hovering. Results from Alpha PNG format, which is normally fixed by importing image in WSB. If you're editing with another app, try to have a look about saving in 32bits PNG with your image editor.

Ijust need a 1px white border.
I tried to set image as "truesize", but it gives me a strange grey frame around.
Tried to play with sizing margin values, but it didthe same.

i got some questions about the .msstyle file. I'm on Windows Seven RC and i think i'll buy a final version in december.
I'm going to purchase Win7 Style Builder next month, and wonder if the VS i'll make with on my RC, will also run on the final Win7 version i'll buy.
I already know that it should instead of the system files, as i already made a VS for both versions. But when i read all the features of the 1.5, i wonder if the things could be a lil different ?

Email adress and license key was already written when i launch the setup. Don't even remember but it was not french. The license key was very long, about 50 characters. Are your license key so long ? never seen that.

First of all, excuse my pore english.
I did not really know where to post it.
I wanted to warn the owner about piracy. I had ( i think ) a pirate version of Vista Style Builder.
I made a training course in a company, and i met someone who sold me an old portable computer. I found Vista Style Builder in a folder, with some other things, before erasing the hard drive. I heard about it on Deviant Art but never used. I installed it on my computer to test the app. I had some bugs with trying many changes, and i did not understand how it works, so i uninstalled. Then i saw the 1.5 release, and wondered if i could receive the download link on my email, or on the seller mailbox then he could give to me. I mailed Andreas Verhoeven. I also mailed the guy who sold me the computer and he answered me he had VSB from a friend and that he thinks he did not buy it. He also never installed it in fact. That's why i did suppose this version i had is a pirate one, coming from internet or somewhere else i don't know...
I think that the users on this forum purchased VSB legaly, but i wanted to warn Andreas. I think there's a large difference between hacking an Adobe product, than a student work costing only 17€.

Anyway, i do not have much time to start a new VS, but i think i'll  purchase Win7 Style builder if i decide to start it  .
