13  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Text blank/white-not visible on: September 17, 2009, 02:41:18 pm
That helped; however now I see this in some other places, I have tried changing different colors but at the end it only gets worse:

The device manager font, the IE address bar font, IE favorites list font all show up white/blank. Also, when i rename the file I can't see the current name.

I am using the Tran's'pace Black theme. Please see the attached screenshot.

For the address bar you need to make changes at the following path:

Toolbars, Headers and Rebar > Toolbars & Headers > BB Toolbar > Aero (both Normal & Max, Active & Inactive)

Add 'GlowColor:Color' and set it to the color that you need.
16  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Problems applying some Vista themes on: July 22, 2009, 12:17:40 am
Panda, it looks like your response fixed the issue  Wink

The problem was actually with the MUI file and it was not having the same name as the style. Prior to your response, I had used VSB to change all those fonts manually without luck. I was able to apply the theme finally but it was broken completely.

I extracted a fresh copy and renamed the MUI file and that did the trick, never knew the MUI file was this important.

Thank you for leading me in the right direction.

http://xxinightxx.deviantart.com/art/Gateway-Theme-130008705

This is an example of a vista style that doesn't work, if i open it up in vista style builder it doesn't look right since the fonts section is completely messed up.

I have tried using uxtheme patcher, uxstyle, vistaglass, vista style master to patch the system but I get error 'the visual style could not be applied' when applying the theme  Is there something I can do using VSB to fix this?

It is under 'Toolbars, Headers and Rebar > Rebar > NavBar'

As per Restorator, it is Images 181-196. Not sure what they are in VSB
20  Help / Windows Vista / Re: Image Location on: June 29, 2009, 03:47:10 pm
Thanks for the response; however I am not actually referring to the holder and not the actual buttons as shown below:

http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/1035/imagekzi.jpg

I am certain it is not in the browseui.dll or the shellstyle.
