2) Lists, Menus, & Tabs > Context Menu > BarItem
Lists, Menus, & Tabs > Context Menu > PopUpItem

2) Sound Mixer:

Top icon is in mmres.dll.mun in System Resources
Bottom Icon is in sndvol.exe in System32
Gray outline is part of your Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Buttons > Button > GroupBox image and Styles > ButtonStyle > GroupBox > BORDERCOLORHINT
The other lines along the trackbar I don't know
I don't know the animation color
Ok for the sound mixer part.

Quote
The round buttons are likely Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Buttons > Button > RadioButton
I'm not sure about the white border offhand. Might be GroupBox again maybe.
It works. Fine.

5) Regedit. Right panel select background color for me is Fonts, Colors, & System Metrics > Fonts & System Metrics > HIGHLIGHT
In regedit, when you select a key on the right panel, a little blanck points appear: https://i.ibb.co/M5fXJ2Q/3.png how to change the white color of theses little points ?

Are you in Dark Mode?

If so then it has to be one of the Dark Mode SplitButton state images.

Go back and check ALL of them again especially NearHot, Pressed, Hot and Normal
Ok apparently it's the Image at Windows 10 Dark Mode > Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Breadcrumb > Normal > Active Crumbs > Button

Tested it works for me.

Thanks.
47  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: November 18, 2020, 02:56:27 pm
Should be one of the images here:

Windows 10 Dark Mode > Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Breadcrumb > Normal > Active Crumbs > SplitButton
Windows 10 Dark Mode > Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Breadcrumb > Normal > Inactive Crumbs > SplitButton
Found but already edited.
When i click on the parent folder of "Windows" folder, the horizontal line under my Hard drive (C:) back to the default color.
Another idea ?

When i browse to C:\Windows, on Windows 10 explorer, it show ">This PC>Hard drive (C:)>Windows", if you hover the "Hard drive (C:)" part, the underline is display in the color you have set in your msstyles file. If you click on the "Hard drive (C:)" part (to back from the "Windows" folder to the "Hard drive (C:)" part, the color same underline of "Hard drive (C:)" element back to the default color. I'm searching the color path for when you click on the parent folder. https://i.ibb.co/wgcpwPv/1.png

Another question: in the explorer, in the address bar, i browse into my C:\Windows\, if i click on my Local disk (C:), the  horizontal line color under Local disk (C:) back to the default grey color, how to change it to my custom color ?

51  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: October 05, 2020, 03:50:50 pm
It's no longer in the msstyle. Might be in ExplorerFrame. But with new modern search I'm not sure
Ok thanks.
52  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: October 05, 2020, 02:35:57 pm
Do you mean Windows 10 Dark Mode > Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Address > ComboBox > Normal > Active > DropDownButtonRight > Glyph Image DPI 96, 120 etc?

The original image is a bitmap in C:\Windows\SystemResources\ExplorerFrame.dll.mun
Nice found, it works too.

And about the search icon at right of theses two button for the explorer in-build search, it color is located in a specific file or in the msstyles ?
53  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: October 05, 2020, 01:57:46 pm
When you click the arrow on the left it becomes Windows 10 Dark Mode > Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Address > ComboBox > Normal > Active > DropDownButtonRight
Ok, i found it at: Windows 10 Dark Mode > Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Address > ComboBox > Normal > Active > DropDownButtonRight
And it works.

I have successfully change the img of the arrow at this location, but when i click on it, the default one come back. Where this img/color is located ?
54  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: October 05, 2020, 08:15:19 am
1)I have images at DPI 96,120 & 144 at Explorer & Shell > Explorer > TreeView > HotGlyph:

It works too, thanks.

2)The hover images are at Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Address > Go Toolbar > Basic > Normal > Active & Inactive > Button > Hot

The button images return to normal when you stop hovering over them.
This the second img, when i select the arrow to expend the address bar, the color don't change, how to change it ?
55  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: October 05, 2020, 12:13:13 am
1) Windows 10 Dark Mode > Explorer & Shell > Explorer > TreeView > Glyph

Windows 10 Dark Mode > Address, Breadcrumb, & Search > Breadcrumb > Normal > Active Crumbs > SplitButton > Hot

Try the attached Data folder. If this doesn't work then I'm done with this subject.

Whatever msstyle I'm using makes no difference so stop asking.
I always say that in computing, patience is a virtue Smiley https://ibb.co/WWmGpm8

EDIT: i have a little bit difficulty to find the resource for my second screenshoot, you mean:

2) Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Progress Bars > Normal > Fill > Device Storage
On my side i already edit the img, but it has no effect on the line under my orange textcolor: https://ibb.co/vP0kp1P when i put my mouse hover the text path

Can you send to me your theme please ?
I could test with it Smiley
60  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: August 29, 2020, 12:43:16 pm
Go to wherever you have your WSB and replace your Data folder with the attached one.

When you open your WSB you will have the new classes.
I have:
- download your zip file
- extract it on my desktop
- close my WSB (wich is on another drive)
- delete the data folder of my WSB i use
- copy the data folder from your zip to my WSB folder
- run WSB from my folder

Same situation Cry https://ibb.co/RTN6gyS https://ibb.co/9nLTkZZ

EDIT: i have even copy WSB exe in your "New folder", same situation.
61  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: August 29, 2020, 12:20:13 pm
YOU HAVE TO USE THAT DATA FOLDER!!!!!

How many times do I have to say it?
I would like to, but apparently I'm missing a step  Huh?
62  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: August 29, 2020, 02:12:06 am
One more time:

1) I sent you a zipfile with a folder containing a WSB exe and a Data folder

2) Keep both in the folder. Click the exe. Open WSB.

3) Once WSB is open all the new classes will show up (Because they are in the Data folder)

4) Now open your msstyle in that WSB and you will be ok

5) The Data folder is the important thing!!
Since I didn't touch anything to your file, I just had WSB, so it's very weird.
Compared to your last indications, WSB automatically opens my last msstyles file that I perfect when I want to change colors or images.

So I don't have to import my last used msstyles file, WSB imports it as soon as I open it.
Even when creating a new theme via WSB, the tree structure remains the same.
I also closed WSB, delete the folder "C:\ProgramData\Windows Style Builder", then restart your WSB, identical result.

Maybe a mistake in my registry ?
63  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: August 29, 2020, 01:45:17 am
You must not have used the Data folder included with the WSB I sent you.

You MUST USE THAT DATA FOLDER!!! That's where the new classgroups and classmaps xml files are located.
All I did was decompress your ZIP file, import my msstyle file, then import the aero.msstyle file from Windows 10 version 20H1, in neither msstyle are the folders present on your screenshot.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, for the moment I doubt it, except if there are some particular manipulations to do before opening WSB maybe?
64  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: August 29, 2020, 12:14:57 am
What are you talking about? I don't have your msstyle. The msstyle open is default Aero in version 2004
I have make the test with a fresh Windows 10 20H1 (2004) Pro version, and i get the exactly same content in the aero.msstyles file.

Maybe you have apply something on your WSB setup ?
I was asking you if you could send to me your theme file, i could try it to compare with my stuff..
65  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: August 28, 2020, 11:01:40 pm
This is what mine looks like using the same WSB I sent you and default Aero msstyle for Windows 10 Version 2004:

No idea why your WSB is different when you are using the same WSB & default Aero msstyle as me. Makes no sense.
Can you send me your msstyle file please ? I could confirm if it's come from WSB or from my msstyles file..
66  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: August 28, 2020, 04:36:01 pm
It has to be there. I don't know how to add it. Show me a picture of your open WSB without the Windows 10(New Classes) class group.

You had it when you asked about the Copy Window here: https://www.vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=2529.0 because that is in

Windows 10(New Classes) also. So I don't know what's going on with you.
There is my WSB with my msstyle: https://ibb.co/tmjSzY2, there is nothing in "Unknown".
67  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: August 28, 2020, 03:14:15 pm
Use the attached WSB that I use
Even by using your WSB i don't get your path, i think i must create the path in my msstyles maybe ?

EDIT: Even in my aero.msstyles file (the default one) i don't have your path.

1) The first two were bitmaps 280, 281 & 288 in ExplorerFrame.dll.mun. Might still be.
Found.

Search is no longer in the msstyle with the new search box. Might be in ExplorerFrame
Ok

2) Windows 10 Dark Mode > Explorer & Shell > Shell > PreviewPaneControl > DarkMode CommonItemsDialog:Edit > Background changes part of it but not the part at the very bottom
This little img is already in my color in my msstyles file, but it's not changed when i try the theme Sad
Maybe another location ?
71  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are some colors/img ? on: August 23, 2020, 12:54:08 pm
When you open it everything is Fonts & System Metrics > WINDOWTEXT or white. When you hover and highlight it becomes Fonts & System Metrics > HIGHLIGHTTEXT or gold. When you click the box it is back to WINDOWTEXT or white again. You can't have two WINDOWTEXT colors.
Ok thanks.
Theses icons: https://ibb.co/SJC7cF0 (at top of the explorer window) ?
This color: https://ibb.co/FBwWvLJ (when you save changes) ?

Last question: curiously when i put the explorer window on the WSB window, the title of WSB become blanck. When i invert, so i put WSB window on the explorer window, the title text of WSB become gold (my color): https://ibb.co/9HTppSG and https://ibb.co/nnbcyJ4 how to keep my title in gold color when i click on another window than the WSB one ?
72  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are some colors/img ? on: August 23, 2020, 02:09:33 am
Are you saying all of that white and gold text becomes black if you click the box?
Not exactly, i mean that when i click the box to edit the filename, the gold text become white.
Apparently there are two differents textcolors states for this type of box (when you export a file to save it as a new file), by default when this window appear, all the filename is selected in gold color. If i want to edit the filename, i left click on it, and all the filename become white.

It's this white color that i want to edit.
73  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are some colors/img ? on: August 23, 2020, 12:48:50 am
1) WMP textcolors: if they can't be changed in Fonts & System Metrics they are hardcoded.
Ok understood.
Quote
2) "+" image is Lists, Menus, & Tabs > TreeView > Glyph
Ok found, works fine.
Quote
3) That blue textcolor is a resource in Restorator probably hardcoded
Ok understood.
Quote
4) That checkmark is icons 113 and 114 in aclui.dll.mun
Found.
Quote
5) Do you mean this: https://www.vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=2007.0 ?
(Just replace "Windows 8 (for testing purposes only)" with "Windows 10 (New Classes)")
For those colors, it's quite weird since I had standardized everything in terms of colors, and apparently I have a color problem from time to time (so not all the time) that are not respected.
I've just done some move and delete copy tests, and I didn't have a color problem in the progress popup, to be checked over time.
Quote
6) I'm not sure what you mean on this one
Exemple, when i want to export my msstyle in a new file:
https://ibb.co/Vvhpwdr (when i write a new filename)
https://ibb.co/pbs8s47 (when i hover the filename to select a part of it, by default all the filename is hover in my specific color, when i clic on any position of the filename, the textcolor become blanck).
74  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are some colors/img ? on: August 22, 2020, 04:33:52 pm
1) Icon 51380 in shell32.dll.mun. The folder icons are likely somewhere in shell32.dll.mun or imageres.dll.mun.
2) Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Buttons > Button > CheckBox
3) Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > ItemsView > Details > Selected (gold) and Selected Property (gray)
4) Explorer & Shell > Explorer > CommandModule > Location Button
5) Windows 10 Dark Mode > Explorer & Shell > Explorer > CommandModule > Library Title
6) Most of these are hardcoded
Thanks.
I have successfully change all of them.
For 1, my one was 5100 icon in the imageres.dll.mun file.

About WMP colors, you mean that most of them are hardcoded, so which one(s) can be edited ?

Other colors:
In 2, the "+" img ?

In resource tree in restorator, i get the blue color: https://ibb.co/GQc8926 - where the color is located ?

In Security tab of Property window for a file, in read-only mode, the check img (in black on the screenshoot): https://ibb.co/xsp0zsn

In the popup when you delete/remove a file, when you expend it, to show the graphic of progress, where are theses colors (so the border and the background color) ?

EDIT: Also, in the explorer window for an file export (when you open a file in a software to edit it, and you save the final file as a new file in a directory), when i edit the new filename, the textcolor is blanck, where to edit this color ?

Thanks.

That's the JumpList which isn't in msstyle anymore Sad
Ok, i have tried to change XAML default colors properties using this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/comments/4pr46f/how_to_create_your_own_custom_theme_for_universal/
But the dll file don't exist on Windows 10 20H1, and even repeat the task on "Windows.UI.Xaml.Resources.19h1.dll" file, my session don't load on reboot, so i must restore the default file instead of my modded one.

Maybe you have an idea ?

Be sure to also check Dark Mode locations for all of these

1) Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Buttons > Button > PushButton > Disabled
Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Buttons > Button > CheckBox > UncheckedDisabled
Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Buttons > Button > CheckBox > CheckedDisabled
Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Buttons > Button > CheckBox > MixedDisabled
Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Buttons > Button > RadioButton > UncheckedDisabled
Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Buttons > Button > RadioButton > CheckedDisabled

2) Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Boxes > ComboBox > ReadOnly > Disabled

3) Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Buttons > Button > PushButton > Disabled

4) I don't know anything about Vivaldi

5) Not sure. Probably somewhere in imageres.dll.mun or shell32.dll.mun

6) Nope. Not with WSB in Windows 10
Thank you again for theses locations.
I suppose that anything rest of UI (new stat menu of windows 10, search feature in explorer, bumplist in taskbar, and colors properties of the new Settings app) are hardcoded in XAML dll files, right ?

And where the yellow folder of the explorer adress bard is located ?
