161  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Tooltip on: February 13, 2021, 10:37:19 pm
Works for me:

Red is Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Tooltip > Standard
White text is Explorer & Shell > Explorer > TreeView > TreeItem > Hot

You are getting a blank because your tooltip and textcolor are the same color
162  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Tooltip on: February 13, 2021, 02:17:42 pm
Like I said here:

https://www.vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=2544.msg14537#msg14537

Background is Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Tooltip > Standard
Textcolors are Explorer & Shell > Explorer > TreeView > TreeItem > Hot, Selected, HotSelected etc

It has nothing to do with the balloon
163  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Colors in Open / Save As...-dialog box on: February 07, 2021, 04:45:24 pm
Just make the FillColor and SizeBox the same color.

The white square on the right is actually Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Scroll Bars & Trackers > ScrollBar > SizeBox:

Here the FillColor and SizeBox are the same color:

Some parts have shadows applied by default and others don't. I don't know why.

That was originally made by DaveSenior:

back in 2010 when we were both making maps:

https://www.vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?board=18.0

His were originally posted to Virtual Customs:

There wasn't any original document. The PDF was made by someone else.
169  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Color of upper corner in Explorer on: February 04, 2021, 02:38:55 am
See whether that light blue color is in any of these images:

Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Window > Left > Inactive
Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Window > Right > Inactive
Windows & Caption Buttons > Aero > DWM Window > Frames > Window > Top > Inactive
170  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Colors in Open / Save As...-dialog box on: February 04, 2021, 02:37:44 am
Try giving the Fillcolor and Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Scroll Bars & Trackers > ScrollBar > SizeBox two different colors and see what happens.
171  Help / Windows 10 / Re: How does StartIsBack interact with Windows? on: February 03, 2021, 04:02:06 am
StartIsBack supposedly uses all of the old Start Menu classes etc. once used in Windows 7 and earlier.

I think Windows 10 allows them in a visual style because they are technically still part of the msstyle though only StartIsBack is actually using them.
172  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Some Colors in Explorer on: February 03, 2021, 01:43:46 am
On the left:

Background is Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Tooltip > Standard
Textcolors are Explorer & Shell > Explorer > TreeView > TreeItem > Hot, Selected, HotSelected etc

I don't have either of those lines.

It might have something to do with your using Classic/Open Shell & Explorer or StartIsBack which I don't use.

I recommend you find out their colors and do a search for the colors in WSB

(The bottom line MIGHT have something to do with your Explorer & Shell > Explorer > PreviewPane > Details Background > Horizontal image)
173  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Colors of Windows -> Start -> Run on: February 03, 2021, 12:39:57 am
Add a FILLCOLOR to Explorer & Shell > Shell > TaskDialog > ContentPane
Explorer & Shell > Shell > TaskDialog > FootNotePane
174  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Colors in Open / Save As...-dialog box on: February 03, 2021, 12:39:05 am
Windows 10 Dark Mode > Explorer & Shell > Shell > PreviewPaneControl > CommonItemsDialog:Edit > Background
(I don't know why this is listed as being in Dark Mode but  it is....)
Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Scroll Bars & Trackers > ScrollBar > FillColor
175  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: January 28, 2021, 03:28:00 pm
I already told you several times:

Change the height or rgb colors of the ItemRowLayout Separator Line in UIFILE 40960

I even showed you a picture of where to change it:

https://www.vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=2539.msg14515#msg14515

If you want me to do it for you put your explorerframe.dll.mun in a zipfile and attach it to a post.

I'll do the change and send it back to you.

Otherwise I've got nothing left to say
176  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: January 28, 2021, 02:04:31 pm
I don't understand. The only edit I did was change the height of the separator line.

Maybe you are doing something wrong. Maybe you are running some earlier version of Windows. I'm on 20H2. Who knows?

The gpedit worked fine for me. No more automatic content view search results.

I don't know what else to tell you.
177  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Visual Styles in Win10 and Mr. GRiM on: January 28, 2021, 02:57:12 am
Yes. Use the WSB attached here.

178  Help / Windows 10 / Re: How do i check if a theme is for AU, TH2 or Redstone1/2? on: January 28, 2021, 02:21:15 am
You can't
179  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Replacing and Numbering of Images on: January 28, 2021, 02:16:26 am
It's only necessary to import an image to replace another image.

IMAGEFILE is only used when you are adding an image where there wasn't one originally.

I THINK the image numbers are arbitrary. They change after saving a msstyle in WSB

I don't think images are inherited like other properties. In this case Explorer & Shell > Explorer > Items View > ListView > ListItem >

SelectedNotFocus does not inherit the Explorer & Shell > Explorer > ListView > ListItem > SelectedNotFocus image even though it's included under

Inherited Properties. I don't know why it's there. You can't have two images in the same place of course.
180  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: January 27, 2021, 10:12:15 pm
I extract it as a text file.

But then I have to use the Convertor because part of it is still in hex.

Then I can  format and edit it in any text editor.

I copy/paste it back as a text file.
181  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: January 27, 2021, 03:11:45 pm
I use Restorator to extract it.

Then I use

https://www.vistastylebuilder.com/forum/index.php?topic=2157.0

to convert it.
182  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: January 27, 2021, 12:01:50 am
Attached is a zip file containing a UIFILE 40960 text file with the ItemRowLayout SeparatorLine given a height of zero so that it will always be

invisible, Drag/drop or copy/paste it on the original ExplorerFrame.dll.mun UIFILE 40960 in the System Resources folder.

183  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: January 26, 2021, 02:01:28 am
Like I said:

"I don't have those white dots which are called a "focus rectangle". I don't know why you have them or how to remove them"

That old remover no longer works and I can't find a new equivalent.

I don't have them so it must be possible not to have them...I just don't know the answer Sad
184  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: January 25, 2021, 11:07:21 pm
1) I don't have those white dots which are called a "focus rectangle". I don't know why you have them or how to remove them.

2) If you don't want to change the separator line in explorerframe uifile 40960 then this will keep your searches from automatically showing in content view:

Run gpedit.msc in your run window

Go to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Window Components > File Explorer

enable "Turn off display of snippets in content view mode"
185  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Where are small colors/imgs ? on: January 25, 2021, 01:27:42 am
1) Windows 10 (New Classes) > Copy Close > Button and Windows 10 (New Classes) > Pause > Button

Borders: Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Progress Bars > Normal > TransparentBar > Device Storage Background

2) Explorer & Shell > Explorer > ListView > ListItem > HotSelected
   Explorer & Shell > Shell > TaskDialog > ExpandoButton > ExpandedNormal,Hover,Pressed,Disabled

3) I don't know how to change or remove RegEdit focus rectangle

4) Can't find that textcolor in Dark Mode ( in Default Mode it is Fonts, Colors, & System Metrics > Fonts & System Metrics > WINDOWTEXT)

5) Windows 10 (New Classes) > Desktop ListView > ListItem > Hot.Selected etc

187  Help / Windows 10 / Re: [SOLVED ]Where are small colors/imgs ? on: January 23, 2021, 12:43:43 am
1,2) Either Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Boxes > ComboBox > DropDownButtonRight > Glyph Image
     OR
Windows 10 Dark Mode > Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Boxes > DarkMode CFD ComboBox > DropDownButtonRight > Glyph Image
3) Lists, Menus, & Tabs > ListView > ColumnDetail
4) Bitmaps in comctl32.dll in system32 ( the black arrow on the far right is Toolbars, Headers, & Rebar > Toolbars & Headers > Toolbar > DropDownGlyph)

1,2,3) I can't find any of these in Dark Mode (In Default Mode Fonts, Colors, & System Metrics > Fonts & System Metrics > WINDOW & WINDOWTEXT are used)

4) Windows 10 Dark Mode > Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Scroll Bars & Trackers > DarkMode Explorer ScrollBar > SizeBox
Sometimes this is also Windows 10 Dark Mode > Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Scroll Bars & Trackers > DarkMode Explorer ScrollBar > FillColor
190  Help / Windows 10 / Re: [SOLVED ]Where are small colors/imgs ? on: January 22, 2021, 03:59:44 am
I don't understand what you are saying.

In Default Mode:

Orange is Windows 10 Dark Mode > Explorer & Shell > Shell > PreviewPaneControl > CommonItemsDialog:Edit > Background
Yellow is Fonts, Colors, & System Metrics > Fonts & System Metrics > BTNFACE

In Dark Mode:

Orange is Windows 10 Dark Mode > Explorer & Shell > Shell > PreviewPaneControl > DarkMode CommonItemsDialog:Edit > Background
Dark Gray on the bottom is unknown

No luck finding either the background or text colors you wanted
191  Help / Windows 10 / Re: [SOLVED ]Where are small colors/imgs ? on: January 21, 2021, 11:01:40 pm
In Default Mode: Fonts, Colors, & System Metrics > Fonts & System Metrics >BTNFACE

White  rectangles are:

Windows 10 Dark Mode > Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Boxes > DarkMode CFD ComboBox > Border
Windows 10 Dark Mode > Buttons, Boxes, & Controls > Boxes > DarkMode CFD ComboBox > ReadOnly
192  Help / Windows 10 / Re: [SOLVED ]Where are small colors/imgs ? on: January 21, 2021, 02:53:02 pm

Not possible. Those arrows are not in the Windows 10 msstyle Sad
195  Help / Windows 10 / Re: [SOLVED ]Where are small colors/imgs ? on: January 15, 2021, 11:37:12 pm
By the way in this image:

1) Windows 10 Dark Mode > Toolbars, Headers, & Rebar > Toolbars & Headers > Items View Header > HeaderItem > Hot
2) Windows 10 Dark Mode > Toolbars, Headers, & Rebar > Toolbars & Headers > Items View Header > HeaderDropDown > Glyph Image
3) Part of Windows 10 Dark Mode > Toolbars, Headers, & Rebar > Toolbars & Headers > Items View Header > HeaderItem  images

Seems I got confused about your description and never answered it. Maybe you found it yourself?

196  Help / Windows 10 / Re: [SOLVED ]Where are small colors/imgs ? on: January 10, 2021, 03:04:49 am
I just color-picked those lines in your picture.

The color is rgb 215,215,215.

Try doing a search for that color in WSB. It might help you find the location if it is in the msstyle
197  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Taskbar Centering on: January 05, 2021, 03:01:05 pm
I just use the default start menu. So I don't know anything about customizing Classic/Open Shell. Like that Classic/Open Shell Explorer

Status Bar you asked about earlier that I had never seen before.
198  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Taskbar Centering on: January 04, 2021, 10:21:28 pm
No. Not in Windows 10.

Maybe if you use StartIsBack. I don't use it so I don't know for sure.
199  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Taskbar Centering on: January 03, 2021, 04:09:26 pm
Another variant:

Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBand > Basic > TaskBand > BackgroundBottom > CONTENTMARGINS 600,3,10,7
Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBar > Aero > Taskbar Show Desktop > Button > Width 700, Height 0
Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBar > Aero > Taskbar Show Desktop > Separator > CONTENTMARGINS 0,0,0,0

Only problem is that you now have a HUGE Show Desktop Button that you will see whenever you hover over it Tongue
200  Help / Windows 10 / Re: Taskbar Centering on: January 02, 2021, 03:51:10 pm
Another variation adding day of week:

Taskbar & System Tray > TaskBand > Basic > TaskBand > BackgroundBottom > CONTENTMARGINS (700,3,10,7)
