Hello,

in some dll-files you have to use 32bit bmp-files with alpha channel.
Except GIMP I don't know a tool which can convert 32bit png-files into 32bit bmp-files.
Do anybody know a tool to do that easily?

Now I cleaned my registry with TuneUp Utilities. But that wasn't the right way.

@PandaX: I tested the original aero-style. It didn't work, too.
I tried to save the file a few times. Always the same problem.

Now I think my pc ist the main problem. Probably I have to setup it newly.

What one is doing for a new style...

Sorry, I don't know what I precisely done before I stored the last version of my style 
It's from the 20th of april...

But I could test it and I could save it without problems.

Yes I know, I used some graphics which have another sizing as the original picture - and this is a cool feature of the WSB. But this always worked.

But also I tested any other msstyle files - (not my own). And here I it's the same problem, too.
I think the problem are not the msstyles files but something is wrong at my windows system or (sorry) at the WSB...(??)

So, now I used the new UXStyle Patcher. Thank you for it.

First I depatched the sytem, of course  
The problem with the Style Builder is the same...
Then I uninstalled the WSB completely (with REVO Uninstaller)
After this I installed the WSB again. (no password query?? I thought the system aked for it again...)

But...the new installed WSB doesn't work still not yet

Next I will unpatch the uxtheme.

After this I will try your recommended patcher.

A new little question  

In the logon screen I modded the password field

I changed the small bitmap (30x30px) in the authui.dll.
Now its only in one color (pink).

But in the password field is another white field. Its an overlay on the pink bitmap.

Does anybody know how I could change the colour of this white field. Or how I can make it transparent.

Note: I worked at my style since August 2011. Never I had some problems with the WSB before - its a cool tool. My *.msstyle is practically finished.
I only needed one tiny modifation yet - but the WSB doesn't work...
Currently I'm working at some dll-files and the logon screen.

OK, I tried it.

I started the save procedure several times and I tried to test the style several times. It doesn't work!

I opened another working style - but its the same 

What can I do?

To kill the explorer.exe didn't work, too.

Without the amazing Stylebuilder I can't complete my style...

That means your msstyles either has an error or you've reached some limitation of UxTheme.

No, the msstyles file is definately OK. And it was working before - today I wanted to change a tiny thing.
Also if I open the file and want to test it comes it to this error. Without changings.
I have tested it with other working msstyle files. Always the same.

If it's happening when you first test/save then try again. For some reason WSB tends to fail on first try.

OK, this I haven't tried

recently my WSB doesn't work.

Alsways if i try to save ore test my style it appears an error like this:

Error Testing MsStyles Files
or
Compiling the MsStyles file

I tried some of other styles and older styles which are all OK.
May that be due to the last Windows updates?
Do you know something about it?

(Win7 Style Builder 1.5.0.0 newest version, I think)

I tried to put in transparentcolor:color   and I tried to change the color - but it doesn't work

I have a problem with the transparency of the taskbar.

I created an image like this - its transparent. (Taskbar&System Tray - Taskbar -Aero - Taskbar - <1>)


But if I build it into the style it is black like this



Where is the problem? Where comes the black background from?
Is there another black layer behind the taskbar?

Hello, here's another question

I tried to resize the caption text. I hoped I could change the text hight without stretching the caption hight and the highness of the caption buttons (up/dow/close).
But this seems not possiple...every time I change the text hight the caption hight will be change too.. and this is very angrily
The next problem is that the text will shift its horizontal position by changing the text hight.
Is the horizontal text position changeable?

This is my compromise solution, but it's not really good. The horizontal line was my only idea.

You can't change that black textcolor

That is a pity 

Can I not change the black text on another place of Windows - outside of the WSB?
If yes, where I can do it?

Or can I underlay the text with any other color such as those with yellow? Then I have black on yellow, this would be OK....

Now I have a question that I can't find an answer for. Here in this good forum I also can't find the solution.
I hope someone can help me.

Here' the (first) Question:

How can I change the black text color in dialogue boxes? And can I change the font too?
The gray background will be coloured in black later. All the texts in this grey areas have to be another color as black
