Title: Adressbar Text
Post by: sunbeam2000 on October 25, 2008, 11:59:15 pm
How can i change the font in the IE7 adress-bar?

In the searchfield (explorer & IE) the "search" or "google" text is cut-off at the bottom when using bigger font (and the glow cuts of), but not in the adressbar, how can i fix that?

btw, i found out, that you can add glowintensity additionally to textglowsize (0-1000). very helpful ;-)

EDIT: i found how to change font, panda wrote in another Topic, but the font cuts of (using Segoe UI 11)

Address Bar in Internet Explorer
Address Bar Active Text {Normal Window} [Aero] || Address, Breadcrumb & Search > Address > Edit > Aero > Normal > Active (FONT:FONT)
Address Bar Inactive Text {Normal Window} [Aero] || Address, Breadcrumb & Search > Address > Edit > Aero > Normal > InActive (FONT:FONT)
Address Bar Active Text {Maxed Window} [Aero] || Address, Breadcrumb & Search > Address > Edit > Aero > Max > Active (FONT:FONT)
Address Bar Inactive Text {Maxed Window} [Aero] || Address, Breadcrumb & Search > Address > Edit > Aero > Max > InActive (FONT:FONT)
Address Bar Active Text {Normal Window} [Basic] || Address, Breadcrumb & Search > Address > Edit > Basic > Normal > Active (FONT:FONT)
Address Bar Inactive Text {Normal Window} [Basic] || Address, Breadcrumb & Search > Address > Edit > Basic > Normal > InActive (FONT:FONT)
Address Bar Active Text {Maxed Window} [Basic] || Address, Breadcrumb & Search > Address > Edit > Basic > Max > Active (FONT:FONT)
Address Bar Inactive Text {Maxed Window} [Basic] || Address, Breadcrumb & Search > Address > Edit > Basic > Max > InActive (FONT:FONT)

You have to add the property.

That's one thing I've yet to fix. I'll let you know if I find out how.

i'm not sure , but i think it has something do with the editable text-size in the adressbar. it's still 9 and this value sets the margins..

when you click in explorer (not IE) the text to edit and sets this window inactive, the cut-off effect also appears (until the enter button is pressed or another folder in this window is selected..

maybe this helps for the search

There's a partial solution of the problem:

setting the ICONTITLEFONT to same value, the cut-off is gone..

but it sets the concerning fonts larger, too

What if you leave the fonts default and just change that value?

Oh. All that happens. Maybe adding it to the element it self will override the default?

i tried a lot combinations.. i didn't get it to work with override..

the only thing what happened by these trials, is that just the shadow cut off even more without the font..
(i tested some margins in the borders etc)

anyway, someday we'll find the solution ;)
